The reason NC State didn't do as well as we should have this season is because 11 of our starters were out for much of the season including 2 major stars, Russell Wilson and Nate Irving...I think people should watch out for us next year...with Russell Wilson leading us, and mike glennon at backup, we will may surprise some people
Shut up all of yall are so worried about stats and his "star" rating none of that matters all that matters is if he is good or not and it dosent matter what school he goes to all that matters is if hes GOOD
he's gonna tear apart sc just like he did to our team in hs.......he is the second coming of mike vick....except hes a class act and wont ever get arrested
Russell attended a private school but I can tell you this he is talented and that is why he is starting as a redshirt Freshman. You'll see first hand tomorrow night on ESPN.
russell is just nasty, and dont say it is just cuz he went to collegiate because some of the teams we play, guys go on to play football for d1 schools
i went to school with him he was a beast and he could take tyrod any day, if 4 stait state championships don't say enough look at his stats. HOKIES SUK< GO GATORS< GO WAHOOS!
uh...he is anything BUT overrated that was his junior year. that was 15 fewer pounds and 1/10 of a second ago. Look at what he did his senior year with less help and tell me his is overrated.
i don't care what his star rating is. The only reason hes rated so low was due to a lack of height. Well respected national scouts went as far as to say he was "amazing"
he runs a 4.5 and can launch the ball literally 75-80 yards(which, by the way, is a lot farther than tyrod can throw it) and has extremely impressive stats recording over 110 touchdowns in the last two years. What other reason is there, expert?
Oh man, you got me there. It's not like this guy goes to a SHITTY school, for say, Collegiate, and plays cupcake teams/defenses. If Tyrod went to that school, which he never would, he would have better than those state. In all of history, there is never going to be a 2 star with no position ranking (HAHAHAHAHA) that is better than Tyrod. Case closed.
Yeah your probably right who the fuck would ever want to go to Collegiate? only one of the top academic schools in the state And as for playing shitty teams, watch the NFL Films segment on FUMA, who Collegiate has now beaten 7 straight times
, and whenever matched up against a large public school, he absolutly explodes on them, the last time against Godwin High School in Richmond in front of 7500 fans, he threw for over 360 yards 6 tds no ints, and almost 100 yards rushing
@BBB567 just to let you know, when NFL Films does segments on FUMA, it is on their PG (post grad) football team. Teams like Collegiate, St. Christopher's, and Norfolk Academy don't play the team that get all the NFL stars.
Ummm let's see. Did I ever say that Tyrod would be First Team All ACC? No, I didn't. And it's pretty tough to be All ACC when you miss a couple games and split time with another QB. Do a little research.
By the way, your "FIRST TEAM ALL ACC QB" did a TERRIFIC job of leading NCSU to the ACC Championship! Oh, wait.
Well when he is on a "not very good" team and finishes the season strong like that, he deserves to be All ACC. Since Tech carries the conference, and has competed for the ACC Championship 4 of 5 years, their chances go down for having an All ACC QB. Yes, it is very likely to happen, but is even more likely to happen when a team like NCSU finishes strong.
If Tyrod got redshirted one year, he would be All ACC.
when he was at collegiate i remember him being famous

Tyrod Taylor is under 6-feet, but still a 5-star.
DaHokie 5 years ago
hes actually listed as 6-2
Jcoates8720 5 years ago
Tyrod is 6-1. This other guy is 5-9. If he was as tall as Tyrod, would his star rating be 5? I think not.

Yeah beating Godwin doesn't mean anything, Collegiate hasn't beaten any Richmond public school of consequence in a while.
