It's horrible to see these innocent people and young children suffer. But this was a punishment from Allah swt. There are so many wrong things going on in Pakistan, people are forgetting the Deen; they are gambling, drinking alcohol, free mixing, clubbing, committing zina. Unfortunately, the youth are so uneducated and blind from Islam they didn't realise that Allah sent the earthquake as a punishment. If they care about the country, they will come back to the Deen. The true God did not cause any of these problems. For he is a God of love. A God of mercy and he desires all to attain repentance. Thats is why we go on because ,God desires more to be saved. That is superstitious nonsense that will not help Pakistan- it will bring Pakistan backwards. The earthquake was a terrible natural disaster caused by a geological shift in the earths crust. Look up 'Plate Techtonics' if you don't believe me. The last thing Pakistan needs is religious theocracy. The problems of the earthquake are minute compared to what religious brainwashing would do. Problems with gambling and alcohol would simply go 'underground' in a theocracy.

We live in the 21st century, where women must have equal rights, all different people need to be acknowledged as equal humans and not fakirs and people must realise that unlike the 14th century when the hadiths and the Quran were written, people have to work hard to feed their children and have a decent standard of living , thus they do not have time to pray five times a day.
