Stop subdizing crops period, put restraints on Monsanto, and instead subsidize the farm land to help promote and keep small farmers in business. Thats how you get healthy food. Its bad for big business in the short term, but will come back with the lower health care costs in the long term.
I know he's joking but I read yesterday that the Twinkie shelf life is 24 days and of course they go bad and don't stay soft for years. The main point he is saying is that our Government subsidizes high fructose corn syrup and not fresh produce.
