  • hey y'all dont forget about Florida's very own Freestyle and Ny's Newcleus and LA's Eygtian Lover... all those dude were pioneers. Detroit is the mecca but not the only visionaries.

  • this is the shortest way i describe my favorite undeground styles, techno and electro - techno - complex weird beats and dark atmospheres, electro - hip hop beats, funky bass line and robot voices

  • detroit forever original electro for ever

  • its the Detroit sound

  • those fools who listen to a style of house called electro house, they call it electro. but they have to learn a lesson and watch real electro videos like this one here. electro house is far from electro boogie. but they argue with me, saying that the both things are the same

  • electro forever.

  • my absolute favorite!!!

  • this is straight up electro-techno...RECOGNIZE

  • dissapointed.....same old xxxx

  • once you learn more about electro/techno than Deadmau5, Justice and Simian you'll realize that your taste is dated and won't last the kids to come.. the founding fathers reign supreme detroit forever

  • the track is pure electro genre. with funky hip hop beats and dirty robotic bass. while techno genre combines electro beats with house beats

  • @DroiidLife

Your brain has traveled to your ass...

  • Electro, old or new is for me only real electronic music, techno is invented by boring repetitive DJs at the same boring repetitive parties.

  • @AORCrazy worrrrd

  • @deadmau5suckz Simian Mobile Disco and Boys Noize have gone techno faggot. And they pay homage to the godfathers of electro and techno you miserable fuckwit. Don't even compare them two to Deadr4t faggot

  • these guys get it, its beautiful, so pocket

  • I'm 17 but holy shit this music is chilling....I like it !

  • Fuckin nice. Its the classics like this that remind me why I love electronic music

  • caught em live at the Nouveau Casino in Paris last friday with Egyptian Lover. Friggin Epic!!!

  • Thanks for the quality upload, I keep coming back to this track.

  • Electro house got its name because its influenced by electro... duh

  • @TheBrosefStalin69

Looks like you're a regular electronic music historian there.

  • bangin!

  • I do not like this music. I make something different.

  • 1 love

  • I saw Juan Atkins play an empty room in Detroit in 2008.

  • I saw Jaun Atkins play an empty room in Arizona in 2000.

  • electro techno 4 life

  • i think the reason this new shit is called "electro", is to wipe out classics like aux 88 from our memory. kids will think they listen to electro and know what that connotates. the industry is trying to merge all popular music into one genre, dance hip hop pop rock soul, it is all blending together. it's their dream to get bono on a track with lady gaga, forget the innovators. its just a drag because this music is really accessible too. they used to play aux 88 videos on mtv.

  • damn negros <3

  • May I enlighten all the people here thirsty for knowledge: original Electro is based on the backbeat, i.e. the beat is not accentuated on the bass drum but on the off beat generated by a straight snare; the bass drum isn't straight 4/4 in classical Electro. This rhythm obviously has been established by Kraftwerk in modern dance music. While the contemporary, diffuse "Electro" term probably refers to the fact that the music is of electronic origin - but which kind of dance music isn't today?

  • It doesn't help that most people are badly educated on the subject. At its worst you have people putting 80s synthpop under "Electro" as well.

This isn't about music snobbery, it's about getting the FACTS straight.

  • this really is amazing, classic, fantastic. looovvvee!!!

  • @mutorsound +1 Most of people don`t even know these``Drexia, Dopplereffekt, Rother, Aux88, UR, Juan Atkins, derrick may, jeff mills ... so thumbs up for the comment! And Russian greets from Latvia!

  • whos the fools who dont know this shit is the ORIGINAL techno? give your heads a shake, you uneducated dullards.

  • ccol

  • I'm 16, I don't think this sucks at all, to the contrary I love it. But I would not call this electro... I'm sorry.

  • @JJFrancio6314 hahaha , it amazes me that this is the only generation that is constantly going to the source and telling the source red is not red, its blue,

.....No son, red is fucking red. .....you wouldnt call this electro? let me tell you why,..... because someone confused you about what electro and techno is. On offense, just trust in that

  • @DONNIMETROPOLIS313 well things change, and electro changes aswell, and if this is electro, then wtf would you call the Bloody Beetroots, or Toxic Avenger?? Tell me !!

  • @JJFrancio6314 The Bloody Beetroots and Toxic Avenger are electro house. It's not at all related to 80s electro. It's a bit confusing, because they're both just called "electro" most of the time.

  • ELECTRO FOREVER

  • aux 88 did more for civil rights than MLK

  • thanks for the video..its detroitsound :-)

  • Is it a real clip from AUX88 ?!

  • this is true

  • ELECTRO

    TECHNO

    BASS

  • Sheer Electro Beaut!

Excellent classic machinery funk all the way...;/

  • alanares

  • great classic!

  • max respect damolh33

  • @ mutorsound & godemp

London is riddled with these "electro" pseuds who have never heard of detroit. They stand around wearing neon '80s clothes trying 2 b Ironic & cool with their ayssmetric haircuts. Littleboots, electro? fuck off!

  • @tuinal

lmao my mom works with one of these guys. Its a law firm that used to be in DETROIT. They had to move the firm to somewhere else, But for a good 7-10 years it was in DETROIT. Do some research before you make blind accusations.

  • @tuinal Little Boots is good, just as La Roux. Lady Gaga is the annoying primitive artist. Little Boots is a fan of Heartbreak, who's playing synth-pop and italo disco, and the half of Heartbreak is Ali Renault, who creating some bizarre dark detroit electro stuffs.

  • this music fits detroit too well detroit is ment to be like this. it not ment to be filled with evil nigs.

  • Detroit= home of techno

  • @GraveyardDave19 derrick may.i believe the song was called "techno music" and the rest is history, with a little helpfrom juan atkins, kevin saunderson, carl craig, stacy pullen, roger sanchez, and many other eager dancefloor deejays.DETROIT.I was at a party in detroit 2 yrs ago and frankie"godfather of ny techno" bones headlined and he stopped his track mid set and gave detroit 20 minutes of props and respect and love for its contribution to the electronic music community and the entire world.

  • this night in madrid yyeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!

  • Yeah, the electro-house scene annexing the term "electro" cause they're too lazy and ignorant of electronic music history to realise that "electro" was already a classic sound cause me to have outbursts. Horrible outbursts that usually result in the streets running red with hipster blood and spilled PBR, white belts, fingerless gloves, twisted fixies and severed scalps decorated with bad haircuts. Drexia, Dopplereffekt, Rother, Aux88, UR, Juan Atkins, take that shit back.

  • bravo!

  • @mutorsound

If I could could spam-upvote your comment about killing PBR-addled hipsters, I would do it in a heartbeat! The worst part is that they pretend to be educated about the recent history of music; in other words, THEY FUCKING KNOW BETTER!

  • @mutorsound I agree. This track is the true electro, stuff that has bleeps and beeps set to break styled rhythms.

  • @mutorsound so true!

  • @mutorsound lol "twisted fixies" would be a nice name for an old school electro project

  • agrees whole-heartedly with aciedfreak, unregisturd, & samsamba08. look, friends don't let friends listen to stupid "electro." The whole 80s flourescent comb-in-the-back-pocket pointy toe flock of seagulls hair over processed synth-poop is NOT real electro. so stop it. This is a good example of the REAL stuff - stuff that makes you think about shakin' yo butt wearin' hot pants in some doods face while he drives around in his Beretta GTU with ground effects, lighting underneath, & trunk bass

  • listen i had this tune, me and beagus used to smash this in the rover v8 in becklow. regullar.

  • loooove it!

where on the net can I find this version?

  • This reminds me of that one friends episode where Ross gets a keyboard... yeah.

  • LMFAO

  • Yeah people have confused 80's influenced house á la Lifelike as "electro", when it actually isn't even close. Real "electro" is pretty hard hitting and raw, like this.

  • Hard hitting and raw?

    what even is this, ughh.

  • This is what yr mum was cryin out for when I was smashin tunes round yr house the other night.

  • She was saying ughh? Or what even is this?

    I can imagine.

  • electro rock the world

  • BASIC MOTHETRS

  • A\ux 88 !

  • looks like doom 2 at the begininng

  • And the kids of today call the SHIT they listen to electro.... What a fucking disgrace and insult ot Detroit Electro Bass and the earlier electro boogie from the 80s...

  • pure truth you say, and it`s sad... but for those who remember those days there will be only one electro Aux88 db !K7`s X Mix E Boogie Rother Hashim Drexcyia Kraftwerk Newcleus...and many more, the list is very long...peace for y`all electro lovers

  • Amen!

  • @unregisturd couldn't agree more

  • Come on, calm down Grandad. You're probably half my age anyway.

  • love this..... its sounds soooo oooollddd it make me feel that i want go back to this times were i never was...

  • this is the future!!!

  • No this is 13 years ago

  • of course is 13 years ago !!

    helloooo !!

the beat is still fresh and inspiring though!!!

  • but not future, cause it's 13 years ago lawl

  • Don't use the word to define in the definition.

  • rlx, he's an idiot

  • REALLY TRUE ELECTRO!

    Juan = the man...

  • Work it Juan!

  • another goodie i saw on MTV AMP, way back when.

  • Same here. I love Aux 88.

  • Big respect from Detroit and Techno bass!

  • DETROIT!!!

  • Actually, the murder capital is Washington D.C. That's not a comment about Bush, the actually city is the murder capital.

Detroit is however the most dangerous. Come on by

  • Has that cool Juan Atkins Detroit sound. Love that "Oldskool"!

  • Hmmm , Aux 88 is simple electro or detroit electro, not electro-techno... Electro-techno is early Johannes Heil, The Hacker, and Anthony Rother tracks for example.

  • Actually the electro and techno sound are very much an original creation by detroit artist, The hacker,& Johannes etc... were influenced by their sound which is in it's own way complex not simple esp for that period it was released

the only German artists that can really be considered the true pioneers of the sound is Kraftwerk and from there it was given soul by afrika bambataa a bronx native.

  • The guy who has made it is Arthur Baker.

According to the story, Afrika first said to Planet Rock beat produced by Baker "WTF" and then it took time to convence him to get back to the studio and record.

  • That may very well be true i think Arthur was the man behind the synth and drum programming, but that serves true for so many other artist of that period, Afrika had the vision and baker had the gear to make it come to life.

  • str8 ill. love fisher price camera too.
