  • You are a genius my friend haha I admire and covet your skills

  • Can you give a list of parts that you used? Send me a message on here if you can. Thanks Jimmy

  • I dig it

    Good job!

  • nice

  • you my friend are a genius

  • Sweet!

  • im looking to build a whole setup for under $100. just one device to pop the primers out one to put them in one device for powder feeding and one press to put the slugs in. isnt that all youd need?

  • isnt some of them going in upside down problomatic

  • @njmvermont the base of the cartridge weighs too much. As you can see the case mouth passes over the drop whole every time, then when the base gets to the funnel they drop mouth up every time!

  • I bet an old BBQ rotesserie motor would work great

  • nice job, i like people that can do stuff,,,,sometimes it's just to easy to go and pick stuff from a store,,,,

  • Errrrrrr.......how are you gonna get the cases from the drop tube into the press? Takes more than a couple of moving parts and timed functions to get them into the shell holder/plate. Just wondering if you already had those parts.

  • Have you got your 650 yet if not I've got a 650 and a 550 up for sale

  • @52oggie Did you sell the 650 yet?

  • @dakegg

yes a guy at my range bought it

    thanks for asking

  • Do you plan on making the feed ramp as well? I've been searching online and I don't see where you can just buy the lower assembly that actually feeds the case into the shellplate.

  • @sxwatson it comes with the 650

  • How about a video on making the case feeder, from collecting the necessary parts to layout and CONSTRUCTION. Brilliant!!!!!

  • awesome!!!!!

  • Much better alternative to the $300 machines that Dillon or Hornady sell. Nice job! Did you ever get the press? How did you attach it to you press and feed the brass all the way to the shell plate?

  • love the simple and ingenious solution for making sure they are right side up.

  • You need to make up a few of these to sell to those of us who are not so inclined.

  • Whats the point? couldn't you have just tipped them in the bucket instead of that noisy machine?

  • very cool! I wonder, will there be a toll taken on the motor caused by the constant short interruptions of cases tripping the microswitch ? Maybe add a piece to the circuit to add a 1 second buffer after the microswitch is tripped ?

  • Wonderful system congratulation i will work on it

  • Thanks mate, I reckon you just saved me about $220

  • Awesome!

  • Can I buy one for $20?

  • Awesome job!!! Way to stick it to the man

  • Pretty ingenius! Good video.

  • i think the hole is only as long as the fat part of the case. that way , whether it faces front or back, when the case falls - the neck hits either side of the hole and falls through last.

  • Have you figure out a bullet feeder design?

    Thanks

  • do you ever have cases that land upside down-I can see that the front of the case slides past the opening-but how do you keep the base dropping first? I've got the hornady lnl ap(love it to death)but I'm going to build one like yourself just cant figure that little bug out...

  • @Jeenyus1983

I was thinking the samething, i don't know if he has plans some place but it looks like the holes on the plate are tapered. Its difficult to see since most of it is white and clear. I was hoping he might responed and asnwer it for us.

  • yeah-.I cant beleive I didnt think of it ...if you take a peice of .223 and try balancing it-you'll find that the last 1/3 of the brass is equal to the front 2/3's. So if it goes upside down-the back drops first. if it goes rightside up the front will glide over the opening untill the base drops down the hole...I hope I didnt over complicate this answer for ya.Now I cant figure out how to adapt the shell feeder to a hornady LnL AP and I'm stumped on how to make a bullet feeding die for the press

  • Comment removed

  • @Jeenyus1983 check out - viktigper - he's made the lower part of the case feederfor the LNL

  • great job, just trying to see how you got the shells to fall right side up all the time. how did you get the primer side to fall first.

  • where do we place our order

  • dude !!! ur a genus !

  • Cool.

  • I'll wait for your bullet feeder, then I'll buy a set from you for reasonable price...thanks

  • great work! but how do you feed the cases to the shell plate?

  • Great work! That is fantastic!

I wonder how much something like that would cost to build if you cannot find a 4rpm motor at a junk shop? Could a faster motor could be used with a potentiometer to dial down the voltage and slow the motor?

  • Awesome Job on the case feeder, it's a great feeling when you can actually make something yourself and it actually works, and even better when you save all that money doing it :) I just made my own primer tube filler for about $5 after looking at Dillons. Keep up the great work.

  • Brilliant! I've tried for months to figure out how to make the case drop bottom first. Thanks so much for posting this. Now I'm on the way to HD for plexiglass. Great video and thanks again.

  • Wow great work. Start selling them!!!

  • Beautiful! And yes, as GlockMonk says, get a patent quick! And try not to sell them for 300.00....thanks!

  • Good Job!

  • Excellent! Be sure to get a patent on it quick.

    GlockMonk

  • How about a bullet feeder?
