I love Eric Himan. His voice gives me chills and brings such emotions. I've been listening to him for almost 10 years....I truly appreciate his amazing talent and determination.
this guy is amazing the way he puts his music together is simple and unique gay or not, hes an amazing artist, kinda like jeff fry, if you look him up then he will change your life....
It doesn't matter if he's gay or straight, he's an amazing artist. He's even made time for small venues like GEARS in FL. The guy has heart! and that comes through with his music.
Eric rocks!! I've seen him live and I have his CD's. I just never get tired of this guy. And yes, besides being super talented and super good looking,, he's a super sweet guy!
@donnieboi70: Wow! You sure have a lot of misplaced hostility. Eric has had plenty of chances to be signed with a major label. But major labels wanted him to go in the closet or tone down his "gayness" and so Eric has said ~ "thanks, but no thank." The song "Thanks" from "Everywhere All at Once" is his account of that. If he's not your cup of tea, fine. Go on about your life or better yet, get one.
I got a privelege to see Eric Himan a few years back when he played with Andy Moore on Don Quixote's in Denver. One of the best show's I've been to. Eric is a very nice guy. I look forward to seeing him again!
Eric Himan is one of the finest singer-songwriters in the business today. Gay, straight, whatever. Labels suck! He is as popular with my straight friends as he is with my gay friends. Good music is good music; it breaks the barriers that divide us and touches on the common themes of the human condition.

He's not good enough to be signed to a major label. And yes he is too caught up with being gay! A few power chords and a contrived voice. That's all. I don't like him because he is arrogant and too self-enchanted.
dude, what is your problem? "too caught up with being gay"? if a musician talks about being gay and coming out, it's obviously relevant to his music. he submitted this video to Logo so being gay and reaching other gay people is important to him.
wtf is the "gay market?" eric has been an independent musician making great music and putting on great live shows for years! he has never once hid who he was. he could've sold his soul a long time ago to the "gay market" but he remains independent. after 6 albums and non-stop touring its about time he made a video. get your facts straight before you make generalized bitchy comments about one of the hardest working independent and out musicians working today.
The gay market? The audiences at Pride fests and doing gay podcast interviews. In those interviews he never discusses the music. All he talks about is being gay and coming out. Who cares about that. It's the music right?

Clearly whoever said Eric is arrogant is clueless. Eric is the most modest and laid back person I have ever met.

Eric should have signed with a major label. Make that money GIRL!!!!

Another example of an ok muscian tapping into the gay market. His voice grates on one's nerves after a while.

I'd rather listen to Eric Himan than James Blunt...
