Just found the song I was looking for, it was Scary Mary. I wasn't finding it because I was sure it'd be a b-side, but it's blackened sky's last track...
Been a Biffy fan for a few months now and I just can't remember a song where he sings "..all the shit that you gave me..." (insert falsetto after you) completely forgot the name... does anyone know what song it is? I figured there would only be true fans here and someone would answer
Biffy clyro is far to underrated :( Stupid chart music ruins everything, they think that it is good because it is made with a half naked woman in the video and her voice is changed 110% on computers
Simon has said it himself, Puzzle was a record for himself, his family, and especially his mother. People keep bitching that they don't like it and it's not like old Biffy, but it wasn't meant for you. It helped Simon get through a tough period in his life. Ben, James and Simon are all proud of the record, so why can't you just be happy for them rather than keep complaining an whinging about everything you personally think they're doing wrong as they progress in their careers?
I ken that this is going back stupidly, but did you make that background yourself, or did you find it somewhere? For some reason I fell implored to ask.
If you think about it though, Puzzle is whats helped them get the success they've got and is alot more mainstream sounding so obviously they're gna play it more often at gigs cos its what people have heard of...
some of my favourite songs are from infinity land but vertigo of bliss is the album that i can play the whole way through again and again and again. never going to beat the first time i heard 57 though...
I used to think Infinity Land was the best but Vertigo Of Bliss grew on me like, a lot. My favorite songs from that album are Questions And Answers, Eradicate The Doubt, Now The Action Is On Fire!, A Man Of His Appalling Posture, Toys, Toys, Toys, and When The Faction's Fractioned. But my least favorite song is also on that album: Diary Of Always..... ugh. I love Biffy but that was a bad idea.
listened to this song two times now... unfortunately i have to admit to myself that this track is as shitty as the rest on puzzle. so disappointing. but i hope that all you puzzle lovers have a good time with the tune and can make a good ringtone out of it.
while we are on the anti puzzle subject, you guys just have to remember its still biffy... yall are like "ohhh puzzle sucks all their other albums rock i love biffy so much" and all their other albums do rock and I do love biffy but if you were a true biffy fan you would like puzzle too because it is Biffy Clyro. understand?
Although i'm not keen on this "true fan" tag crap, I think you're wrong.
A "true fan" fan you put it does not have to kiss the arse of every song they produce. Puzzle is a good album, love the older stuff, I also appreciate puzzle as another chapter in the biffy book. But that doesn't mean i have to bum fuck everything.
Critisim isn't going to condemn you to eternity on Kanye West's sex swing.
Anyway, I like puzzle as much as the others, just wish they'd play more of the back catalogue at gigs.
I still don't like this "true fan" crap, but i'm going to buy anything the biff release. They deserve it.
I met them at the B'ham signing, and had the chance of staying beind afterwards with them for a while, and they are awesome, down to earth, nice, just kick ass cool guys.
I agree with AlexB7, they deserve to be doing well, they've been trying long enough, shame other bands like Reuben never got this kind of success.
And as someone who's also met them a couple of times and had decent chats with them I can tell you they're just normal guys, they haven't suddenly become pompous and stuck up. Us Biffy fans should stick together and be thankful for what we've got.
I really don't understand all this anti-puzzle attiude i personally thought it was an amazing album, like all there other there may be no songs like 57 but some of thier songs on that albums were brillant
living is a problem, who's got a match, a whole child ago, the converstion is, love has a diameter, semi mental, folding stars was diffrent but great and thier new single sounds awsome, like all their other stuff
I'm not a huge Puzzle fan but tbh, when I see them live I really don't mind if they play the new stuff :P. As long as they keep playing Justboy I wont mind... ;)
it don't get much better than this. they need to back to doing at least one album a year. or at least release a b-sides/rare tracks compilation- Biffy at their best!

it don't get much better than this. they need to back to doing at least one album a year. or at least release a b-sides/rare tracks compilation- Biffy at their best!
I loved Biffys earlier albums, but think Puzzle is pretty poor. They've achieved commercial success, but only by significantly changing their music. Puzzle, for me, has got rid of a lot of the stuff that made Biffy amazing, like the quirky guitar riffs, the harmonies they sing together, etc. I think other bands have achieved commercial success in a better way, Arcade Fire, Feist, etc.
Puzzle still maintains the qualities that the older albums have though (the quirky riffs, harmonies etc.) just maybe to a lesser extent. Puzzle is the obvious result of a mature band and to me it sounds like the album that biffy have properly found their sound. The album is the catalyst to their success, not the gateway.
They've proved they can achieve commercial success while maintaining some dignity and integrity, by creating popular songs with musical worth, while every shite band needs to whore themselves out to the public in order to sell their tat.
Trust in the Biff, because they know how to fucking rock.
TI think one of the concepts behind the new album was to open up the fanbase a bit. Biffy could have stormed into the charts and wrecked up the place at anytime with a more popular album than their previous work (as they have so proven with Puzzle) I think they just wanted some recognition for all their hard work, which is not too much to ask for any band.
The amount of people I see complaining about Biffy's new direction is getting annoying now. It's called change. If bands didn't do it then they would become stale. Deal with it.
Change I'm fine with, I'm just not cool with what I can only really see as a pop album, there are a few good songs on there, but musically it just isn't as interesting. Back in the day biffy could cram more ideas into one song than most bands could in an album, this album just seems a bit basic and for some reason the press spoke of this new simplicity as the gretest thing they've ever heard - I don't agree with that. Biffy deserve every bit of success they get
They haven't really gone against theyre own unique sound. Clearly you can hear it's a progression in the bands career as a result of life experiences (particularly Simon Neil's). I'm the same as you, I would have wanted a more challenging album but being honest and listening to the album, its a really good album.

I mean, c'mon - where's Puzzle's version of Stress on the Sky or Jaggy Snake, or Toys Toys Toys? There's not even a loud moment on the album really. It's not musically challenging enough for me, it's all a bit too 'pop' for me.
Another Biffy B-Side that'd put any of that indie crap that pollutes Mtv and every single radio station to absolute shame. How do they have so many brilliant tracks?
I 100% agree with the comment bellow. Every single biffy bside has been worthy enough to be on one of their album. Also... LIVE DVD!!! its about time they released one!!

Heard you next door, It sounded like laughing, You've coped very well, I knew it was screaming, Our own living room I hope we'll get through it and smile again. Stare at the girl In the room she is singing Song with a curse Her pinky's are missing, What a wonderful voice, She'll change on the outside with surgery
