wonderfull classic! all those stupid idiots. the middle class fat slob, the washed up jockstrap, the nasty ratlike waitress, the stuck up skinny snob waitress,
the geeked out postie, and the intellectual pompous ass. a big cross section of the American people! all represented here in the best comedy show ever.
ol' Cliff is going to wow all the chicks at his favorite single's bar with his post office uniform, he wears it everywhere and those shoes squeaking away like a little kid's toy
this happened to me on a job interview, I just bought a new pair of shoes and went to a Ford Dealers to get a job as a car salesman and the manager was on the other side of the showroom floor and I had to walk over to him and my shoes squeaked real loud just like this all the way walking over to him on the waxed showroom floor, he gave me a minute of his time then said 'kid i don't think it will work out' and on my way out the door, I laughed and still do because of the squeaky shoes, honest!
Does anyone have a clip of Cliff espousing the virtue of beer and how by killing off bad brain cells it is good for you, like killing the weak members of a herd of buffalo makes the whole herd stonger ? Many thanks if you can help, Alan
so the show frasier is a spin off of this show? cause i remembered watching an episode of frasier were woody harrelson starred in and they talked about the good old days in cheers ...
I agree to a point, there were alot of good shows, The Jeffersons,Sanford and Son and Good Times, early Happy days, and All in the family ( which was a British show first but softended up)
Watch the Dick Van Dyke show; clever writing and amazing, versatile talents (not just former models mouthing lines, like so many 'stars' nowadays).
I think it all depends on what you got used to watching when they first came out. I find that if I saw it when it was 'new' - even only a few episodes - I tend to like it years later. But I never saw Frasier, for example, so I find it hard to get into the characters, even though I know Frasier from Cheers.
The strength of Cheers was the actors...however the writing was superb. If you look into the structure of classical Shakespeare and compare it to that of Cheers, you'll find striking similarities.
Guys this is the best comedy show bar none. Better than Seinfeld. Great writing and great acting. I miss all these guys. The best thing to ever come out of Boston.
Are you sure? I know most of them turned up in the one where Frasier goes back to Boston, some classic dialogue between Martin and Norm, but don't remember Rebecca ever turning up.
Lmao looove this clip
