  • come on!...COME ON!!!!...ohhh johnny :(

  • I DO NOT GIVE A FUCK WHAT THEY SAY!!! Johnny Ringo was killed by someone...he did not "commit suicide" like they claim....Doc Holliday killed him! At least that's the way I like to view it! How in da hell does a 'top of his class gun man' kill himself?......I'm waiting.....

  • @MINIeminemFAN Johnny Ringo's death was ruled a suicide on 7-13-1882. Holliday was in Colorado fighting a court case. "Official records of the District Court of Pueblo County, Colorado indicate that both Doc and his attorney appeared in court there on July 11, 14, and 18, 1882." Most historians believe there is absolutely no physical possibility that Holliday could've killed Ringo. Although there is a small faction that believe homicide occurred, most believe in the initial coroner's findings.

  • @WRK004 There isn't really any historical evidence that Johnny Ringo was an extraordinary fighter. He's known for murdering a well-known person who wasn't even fighting him, as well as shooting unarmed people on their own property. But other than that, there's nothing to show.

  • Nothing like the italian made western.

  • Johnny Ringo had that look of fear in his eyes after Doc Holliday challenged him the second time.

  • Love the scene and the performance, but one thing bugs me. Val Kilmer I think misunderstood the meaning of the expression Doc used in real life, "you're a daisy if you do." Kilmer seemed to have interpreted being a daisy as some sort of positive thing, when actually being a daisy means being dead, a daisy growing on your grave. So for him to say here "you're no daisy, you're no daisy at all" doesn't really make sense, since that is exactly Ringo is here, a daisy, ie, dead.

  • @8500Atomic Excellent analysis.

  • "why, mister ringo, you look like someone walked all over your grave"

  • Val Kilmer had such a pretty mouth! - "Say when..."

  • Doc's my ancestor for real

  • After watching the documentary about Once Upon a Time in the West, it becomes clear that the gunfight choreography and cinematography is based on Sergio Leone: Circling around each other and the huge close ups, etc.

  • ringo s est tiré une balle dans la tète!ringo était le+rapide!j aime ringo!

  • Doc is epic.

  • Ringo rocks! Love this scene.

  • I just found out that I'm related to Johnny Ringo... He's my great great great uncle or something like that... O.O

  • Say when

  • The dialogue in this scene is so perfect.

    "I was just fooling about"

    "I wasn't"

  • you no daisy, you no daisy at all

  • What is fascinating to me is in the last several years I've seen so many mediocre performances turned in by Kilmer it's hard to believe he's the same actor .... I remember in the movie 'Heat' although his character wasn't a primary focus he brought an intensity and realism to the part just as he did in Tombstone tho this performance is OSCAR worthy as many here mention.. Lately I dunno what it is, perhaps some self-esteem/confidence issues related to weight gain... he just isn't his old self. :(

  • @Brahmanfire Maybe this is a role that is easier for him to play.

  • all these things that i've done

  • at 3:41 why does he just dont shoot the horse?

  • @Donemode1451 It wouldn't be as cool :p

  • Why Johnny Ringo , it looked like someone just walked over your grave!!!~ Doc iz a BEAST!!

  • Val Kilmer ftw :)

  • Do not fuck with Doc Holliday

  • Val kilmer sould have won every award known to man for this performace of Doc Holiday.Iv'e never seen anything like it in any western new or old.

  • Absolutely Epic!

  • JJJJaaaa What girlyman! LOL

  • best scene in the movie

  • Doc Holiday was so fast he pulled out the gun and emptied the gun on Ringo and reloaded it and then drew it back and you only saw one shot!

  • @Maloperverso I'm pretty sure that's cause he only fired one shot...to the head.

  • Val Kilmer played Doc Holiday better than anyone past present or future!!!

  • Don't get me wrong guys, Tombstone was one hell of a good picture, but as far as westerns it did not have the film quality of today but the icon western was The Good The bad The Ugly! The my friends is the measuring stick!

  • in his last minutes ringo felt the fear run through his veins, fucking pussy, my fight is not with you holliday

  • @dragonvania That's because he knew he was against someone who not only was better than him but had nothing to lose. When you fight a man with nothing to lose he becomes very difficult to kill. Ringo was smart enough to know this but also knew he had no choice once Holliday said we started a game we never got to finish. And I totally agree with your comment.

  • @WRK004 so it's clear that Wyatt Earp was not capable of fighting Ringo? i mean,he was good in every aspect, but not when it comes to a duel,he was not that fast.

The only one who could fight Ringo (known for being fast and full of skills) was Holliday, who had the same features.

  • @tonymtno There is actually a scene in the movie where Wyatt asks Doc if he can beat Ringo to which Holliday says in a sobering "No". Wyatt is a skilled fighter and lawman but he was at least in my opinion not able to beat Ringo in a one on one duel.

  • Wyatt Earp and his Immortals...

  • Ha ha did you see that look on ringos face! He new he was in deep shit when he saw Doc Holiday walk out from the shadows! These guys make me damn proud to come from pre American colonists. I wish I could go back in time and see these guys in person, I bet they were meaner than rattle snakes!!

  • im sorry but val kilmer was robbed of an oscar this year

  • Great movie with great actors, Sam Elliott being my fav.

  • too many fuckin awesome lines to quote in this one!

  • It really happened like this too, lol

  • @mnail33 no it didnt

  • to sparrow and whalenmatthew...not sure how true it is but i read on wikipedia(dont laugh)..that when frank leslie killed billy claiborne,,claiborne's last words were "frank leslie killed johnny ringo,i saw him do it"..

  • God.....this was one of THE GREATEST westerns in the history of the movies....Period.

  • AMEN

  • Never Mess With Doc Holiday ,Fool

  • I don't know who looks more psycho here: Doc Holiday (:47) "I wasn't..." or Johnny Ringo (1:04) "Alright lunger, lets do it..."

    This is a great movie.

  • thats kinda scary... hes shot in the head dead and he was doing that on just pure twitching nerves.

  • Good film. Best modern western is 'Unforgiven'. Not even a debate in my eyes.

  • @RanpatMcMurphy unforgiven is good only because of clint eastwood... i found it pretty booring until clint stopped being a pussy. i found Tombstone better

  • @RanpatMcMurphy Give me Tombstone anyday.

  • LOVE THIS MOVIE Val Kilmmer might cause trouble on sets but I think the Guys the fucking man and Micheal Beihn who never seemed to get his shot deserves a mention Johnny Ringo was a great Villian.

  • Somebody just walked over 14 people's graves.

  • hell yes

  • I think they should of been on white horses, like the preacher at the beginning was saying

  • @22640cal that would have been epic

  • val as doc holliday is beastly

  • This is my all time favorite movie, this is what I grew up on and to this day it still doesn't get old.

  • Why did Ringo turn into a zombie after he was shot?

  • @mikeMTairy Cause of the virus.Just kidding. When he was shot in the head the brain was still trying to function.....that is kinda like a reflex action and u lose 2 much brain matter.........ur probably puking right now. lol.

  • @lukemiller12 gray coat and black pants i reckon...lol

  • i love how doc is so much more educated than everyone else in the movie haha and he plays them so well

  • Another movie with classic lines you can use in real life all the time.

  • 13 people look like someone walked over their grave

  • I was just fooling about... "I wasn't" LOL, too funny!

  • @tomekawhite1176 when me and my dad was watching it. when said"i wasnt" we were like OH HES A DAD MAN LOL

  • I'm your Huckleberry :) LOVE that line...Even though Doc was sick, he was still THE bad ass of all time

  • I love the look on Ringo's face at 0:20 when he realises it's Doc Holiiday. It's like 'This could be bad'

  • @ASBOMAN That look symbolized him carping himself..lol

  • To this day my award for most bad a character in any movie is Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday

  • ''Somebody walk over...'' Love this Scene...

  • @zilon02, One year Colt made a Doc Holliday special edition single action revolver. Wish I could have got one but due to a tight budget I was not able to get one! If you have one of Doc Hollidays original Colts, I would love to see that!

  • If you read your history books Holliday practiced his drawing everyday and when somebody bad came to town Earp left town. Go figure!

  • 13 peoples ancesters were killed by doc holliday

  • Val Kilmer is easily one of the best actors ever to grace the Silver Screen! The movie is kick azz too!

  • 13 People here need to get a visit From doc Holliday

  • One of the all time best cowboy movies ever made. Ranks with 'Rooster Cogburn', 'The Outlaw Josie Wales', and 'The Good The Bad And The Ugly'.

  • If Doc Holiday was still alive he would kick the shit out of Chuck norris.

  • filme magnifico

  • @AntiFaithNY

The title can be "monkey business"

  • @Xbowguy or they weren't daisy's...lol

  • This movie has so many beautifully crafted lines to fit the characters/mood. "I'm afraid th...the stress was more than he could bear". Wonderful.

  • Doc Holliday is my 6th cousin and I am proud to be his relative because he kicks ass.

  • @zilon02 I have one of Doc Hollidays Colts that he used during that time period, with the pearl grips. What a Man, What a Legend.. God bless you Sir... RH DSD

  • if you trully had one of his colts you would say they were ivory grips...not pearl.

  • @jtmpontiac Colt made them with Pearl, Not ivory in 1877. I have a real one. The one val kilmer used are similar but just copies. I have many videos of the little da 41. Check em out and you decide.

  • it's my favorite scene of tombstone, holliday kill ringo very fast...

  • Ike was such a little slit.

  • As far as I'm concerned, this is The Godfather of modern westerns. As far as I'm concerned, Val Kilmer should have beaten every best supporting actor nominee of the past 50 years, but he wasn't even nominated. That's Oscar's loss in prestige and credibility and our gain in a sublime performance.

  • @edwdixon5 Quite right. Have you seen Dennis Quaid, though? Nothing to sneeze at.

  • @edwdixon5 this was by far ONE OF THE BEST MODERN WESTERNS OF ALL TIME. every other modern western SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! KURT RUSSEL AND VAL KILMER...BEST WYATT ERP AND DOC HOLIDAY EVER......and 4 everyone else who saw this movie.....i think this where they got "DON'T BE A BIG IKE" from cause he acts big n bad but he is just a chicken....lol

  • @edwdixon5: I liked Kilmer's portrayal, but I have to give the nod to Quaid's version in "Wyatt Earp." Kilmer's Holliday was a little too polished and smooth, presenting Holliday as a dandy; Quaid's was rough and spastic, better representing a man who was both a momma's boy and a dentist. I also felt Quaid better portrayed the anger and bitterness towards life that made Holliday so self-destructive. I would love to see a version with Russell and Quaid, since Costner brought no humanity to Earp.

  • @edwdixon5

That is true. Everyone was so good in this movie. Those playing the "bad guys" were so good they created sympathy for their evil characters--like Stephen Lang as Ike Clanton.

  • @edwdixon5 YOURE NO DAISY!!! : D

  • I liked your fadeout. The original was great, but this could have been done, as well.

  • Seriously if it came down to it I think Doc Holiday would beat Jesse James in a gunfight.

  • 12 people are no Daisies

  • YOU'RE NO DAISY

    YOU'RE NO DAISY AT ALL

  • @Vaicurious lmao. smh too cold.

  • VAL KILMER IS A FAT AND HIDEOUS MONSTER NOW!!

  • val kilmer was great in this but he had a good part too

  • @DIOSpeedDemon Same, judges were probably bribed.

  • The best friend a guy can have man, always has your back!! Hard to find these days.

  • BOOOOOM HEADSHOT!!

  • hi ya huck.a.berry.

  • wtf do u know about quick draw? in fact im almost close towards how fast he was and doc holliday in fact im close and yet doc holliday believed in poker for na reason people even if u people admare him but he lived as an outlaw but he believed of being truth about himself even if people werent the only friend that even wanted to be his friend was warp.. it takes a man to understand another one through there actions...

  • Val Kilmer is so sexy in this movie!

  • Doc Has The Same Last Name As Me!

  • Love the screen shot at 4:40.

  • "Say when." <3

  • I love Val Kilmer! <3

  • Doc Holliday must have had his Dead Eye Targeting bar to the fullest ;)

  • Whoever disliked this sucks donkey balls

  • "Poor soul, He was just too high strung." LOL

  • Everybody talks about Doc and Wyatt in these films, but I have to say I LOVE Virgil (Sam Elliot) in this film. I think he had some awesome moments of his own. Remember Ike talking about how he'd cut their "goddamn pimp hearts out" and Virgil stepped into him, eyes ablaze, "Don't you threaten me you little SON OF A BITCH!" And let's not forget, "I've still got one good arm to hold you with," which is an historically accurate line.

  • kilmer looks alot like gary oldman in this movie.

  • And whoever is saying no western beats this movie is nutz. Tombstone was amazing, but mostly because of Kilmer, who should have won the Oscar. His best performance by far. However , Unforgiven is the best western ever made. End of discussion. Happens to have Clint at his best too. Unforgiven is the perfect western and a masterpiece. Kilmers acting in Tombstone was a masterpiece. There's a difference.

  • People don't realize why Holiday was so fast. Especially towards the end of his life. Besides his reflexes, and just being a fast draw, he had no fear, and had nothing to live for towards the end. Thus nerves of steal. Combine his natural ability with his ice in his veins, and smarts, and you have a very deadly shooter, one of the fastest. No hesitation, no fear and great reflexes. It was his mental ability that put him over the top.

  • damn val kilmer had so much potential! he is such a convincing daisy here!

  • 12 people are not daisies.

  • @Hlejames 12 people are Kevin Costner fans

  • 12 people got shot in the brain, but were still able to walk...

  • 10 pts for holstering back before the looser hits the ground+ 50 pts to get him to walk with a bullet in the brain!

  • You got that right, MrPurpleeater; Val was the meat of Tombstone and the best portrayal of Doc Holiday ever!!!

  • watching this in 1911 style = HAX!!!

  • Johnny Ringo killed himself... Doc Holliday was overrated as a gunslinger, and one time pulled on an unarmed man behind the bar and missed him completely. Ringo was far more hardcore, and was known as a sharpshooter. Ringo tried to take them all on, but the Earps were pimps. True.

  • @TexasPsychoK ....MY DICK!!!

  • @TexasPsychoK If you pay attention to what Doc says, you'll notice he hints at the diffrent theories on how Ringo died :D

  • @TexasPsychoK Blah blah blah!

Noone knows how Ringo died, he was found against a tree with a gun in his hand and a bullet in his head. Ringo was a psycopath, generally despised, who rarely, if ever, fought fairly but usually just gunned his victims down without warning.

Wether Holliday was overrated, I don't know, and nor do I care. Because: This is an epic MOVIE. Kilmer and Biehn are awesome in this scene, and the whole piece is just one of the most entertaing westerns I have ever seen.

  • @LarS1963 - Hey, I love Tombstone but not how biased it. Ringo was actually a better shot. Myths & reps have historians still debating facts. Ringo/Holliday did attempt the quick-draw duel twice getting them arrested, however; Doc was in Colo for court when Ringo died. Experts feel they feared one another(when not drunk and friendly)due to their reputations for being deadly sharpshooters and cold-blooded nature.

And still both Billy the Kid and Jim Miller woulda put them in the dirt.

  • @TexasPsychoK Johnny Ringo was not known as a gunslinger... just a ill tempered asshole, Holiday was known more for gunslining then ringo was and he didn't claim to even be one

  • The real duel of the fates. In a word masterful.

  • 1:41

  • Ringo had the life expectancy of a HOUSEFLY!!!

  • It wasn't because Doc Holliday was a fast gun or good at cards, with his health condition he had nothing to lose and his former life was gone forever and he just went for broke on everything. One more thought Earp would not have taken Ringo Doc saved his life on just what I said before.

  • I'm YOUR HUCKELBERRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I want Doc for a friend in a fight every time.

  • "I WAS JUST FOOLIN' ABOUT"

    That's one scared dude.

  • 12 People are just too high strung.

  • @fairchild915 14 people played for blood, LOL!

  • The real Doc Holiday would like every one believe that he killed Johnny Ringo but in fact Johnny killed himself.

  • Say when

  • Goddamnit! That here is some great shootin Doc

  • If you read into the Real life death of Johnny Ringo you will find that this movie is very accurate in the story it depicts. Ringo had one shot out of his gun and one bullet in his head. Many people say that he did shoot his self. I say Doc was the Fucking Man.

  • hell yeah mrpurpleeater u are soooo darn right ,,how in hell was doc so fast ? ringos hand was on the trigger & yet doc was grinning?

  • im your huckleberry

  • BOOOOM HEADSHOT

  • Mr. Johnny Ringo......You Silly Stupid Yellow Fool

  • I love Johnny Ringo...but...HE'S A NOOOB!!! xDDDDDD

  • my last comment, though the performance was amazing and the actors talents are epic, i never really liked val's portrayal of doc holiday, it was to arrogant, to full of himself, i often found i was waiting for doc to get hit, i just couldn't like the character a character who never is afraid, hurt or never undergoes some kind of change is not following a realitic tone.

  • @MAnnaconduit1 doc had a pretty deep moment when he showed how much wyatt meant to him. "wyatt is my friend" "ive got plenty of friends" "i dont....."

  • @bloodrain744

one of vals greatest moments, and Yes doc holiday did have another side to him, which only his bestest friends could see, it was a pity he died before he could show others that side to him.

  • @MAnnaconduit1 Much of the Wild West has become American Folktale. Truth is, not much is known about these men other then the fact they were involved in well publicized events. We know a lot about Wyatt Earp and still don't really know what he was like. This is a great movie but the reality of the Ole West was much more dark and tragic. Holliday has been described in old writings as a very arrogant man but smart man who was able to concoct a deadly reputation even though the storys arent true.

  • in reality no one knows who killed ringo (or maybe they found out since i last read up on it) they assume it was either doc or wyatt but i doubt it, i think in reality someone got the drop on him, doc was fast but he was sick and dying from sickness and wyatt was never better than ringo, in this movie however i liked how holiday finsihed ringo, it was like his final mission as he died right after, val kilmer was good

  • 12 people are not huckleberries !!

  • WOW HOLLYWOOD WHAT ABOUT THE BLACK GUNFIGHTERS,,,,,,

  • @hecancook38 Oh fuck off Mr Race Card.

  • @hecancook38 they were gunning down lions in africa??nah seriously, think about it for a moment

  • Amazing scene...and two killer performances!! Epic character creation from Val Kilmer!! Awesome post...and thanks!! ~KK
