Stop arguing about things you don't know about. Yoshioka's AE86 makes this much power by using a very high compression ratio, and running N2O ALL THE TIME!!!!!!!!!!! There is a switch attached to the gas pedal that feeds nitrous into the motor. Half throttle, half shot. If you could get a shot of the inside of the trunk, you would see 5!!!!!!, thats 5, 20lbs bottles in there.

I have an AE86, and I seriously doubt it has 300 whp.. its NA.. you can see the ITB's. I think it it prolly making somewhere in the neighborhood of like 220. which is still damn respectable for an NA 1.6.

its actually a 4ag black top and its built with 3 other 4ag's with twin dry shot of nos w/o nos its pushing 220 hp and the tranny is actually a mazda part HKS fc3s 5spd if he put a regular ae86 tranny it would break faster so yeup hope it helps

well since no one pays attention, its not a 16v. Its a black top 20v and it only makes 190hp. it has nitrous injection to make the claimed 300. he has it on trigger via paddle switch so he can keep up with the high power cars on straights.

Then again I bought my ae86 from my grandfather in 1994 for 600 dollars with 64,650 miles on it . Recently my sponsor ( my wife ) let me put new tires on it. and I got to replace one of the bulbs. plus checkered floor mats .

I know about Truenos and Levins, and I know about the old days of KE70s. It doesn't matter anyway, because at the time I was angry and frustrated (ironically enough because my AE86 front suspension conversion didn't work out. I was putting sigma control arms and ball joints in for more camber, but it ended up looking like a V8 supercar and the wheels hit the guard with a half turn. Had to change it back :\). I was arguing about stupid things.

its the high rotation of the cams that cause bad idle.....the intake and exhaust overlap.

however your partially right in saying that, as most high lift cams have long rotation, there are few exceptions to this rule.
