@UInACrash .... apparently the next generation of the Touring will still be based on the European market i30, but it will be the regular hatchback version, NOT the wagon (like the current Touring). HUGE mistake on Hyundai's part I think. Really they should offer both and give consumers a choice. And while they're at it, how about giving us some more powertrain options (like in Europe).

@Teeebs Powertrains in NA have always been scant, at best. It's too bad because there are people who want the European mileage conscious offerings but the majority of consumers want only gasoline based engines and balk at anything south of 100hp.

This Elantra Touring is very nice and actually looks very good in person than it does in videos. I hope they do give it a refresh like its sedan counterpart.

I love Elantras . I used to have a 2003 Elantra Gt hatchback and it was great. Right now I drive an 05 Outback which is great but this video made me miss my old car. All my friends were making fun of me for buying a hyundai, and then were borrowing it when their cars were down.

The Genesis coupe and Elantra Touring (known as the i30 CW / Estate in the rest of the world) are new benchmarks for Hyundai. I just ordered the Elantra Touring in red. It handles a lot like a VW Golf 5-door, and even has a blue information display like a VW. It's a ton of car for the money. The Mazda 3 is more nimble but costs $5K more for a model with the same luxury features (sunroof, heated seats).

That test drive neighborhood looks like Miami Springs, FL, BTW.

Why does a 141hp 2.0L sound bad the best Hondas and Toyotas ever made has less power than that. Average cars have got so overpowered in recent years I've driven the early 90s accords they were great cars plenty of power. Like the 2000s Frontiers with a s/c 2??hp whats the point? I'd rather have the 147hp 2.5L diesel offered in Mexico and Europe that gets 40mpg+ because 14mpg city really sucks

Hmm, the only new Hyundai I really don't care for. Elantra, Tucson, Accent and Entourage are horrible but I love every other Hyundai. The good Hyundai's more than make up for the "so-so" ones.
