@Egirl01 Heroin, the drug, is spelled "Heroin." "Heroine" means a female hero, so you are correct. The two words are just pronounced the same. Years ago, one of my teachers pronounced the word that means a female hero "Hero-ine [like "in"]. Maybe that was just her way of differentiating the two.
