I hear what ur sayin about not washing your hair but what about inside your locks? Stuff gets inside and what about when u sweat? Don't you feel itchy and want to wash it with something? Aloe or something natural??
for all who say we need to see bad why not put wax or dread washes BELIEVE YOU ALL ARE RAST use wax? BOB AND HAVE OWN FIRM LIKELY TO OCCUR AND WAX .... Dread is the root of culture RELIGION RASTA NOT A NEW HAYRCUT JAH RAST FARAYYY
@underbo01 actually, if you knew the chemical processes that naturally happen in hair that isn't washed with shampoo, you'd understand that shampooing your hair is what causes the over production of stinky oils because it constantly strips your hair of all its natural oils every time you wash. it can take a long while to transition[[and being a female, i would never be able to wait lol]] but after you hair is given time it produces less oils, which means no stink, and is altogether more healthy
EVERYONE SHOULD BE WASHING THEIR HAIR especially if you do it naturally
I rinse my hair every day and wash every 3 days. Your hair will dread much quicker.
The natural oils work against the locking if you don't wash. Additionally, you'll have some crusty, nasty scalp problems that cause nasty chunks to build up in your dreads.
u dont wash your hair? I have dreads and I wash mine. U still have to keep your hair clean and maintained just like regular hair. U could get lice so be careful.
dude!! my friend don't wash he's dreadlocks for a month, and your right it doesn't have a bad smell but i am afraid to some "aliens" live in his head!! i mean ticks or something!!! LOL.
how long does it take for the dread to get togehter? I have just started doing them and they do not look that nice.. it is so much loose hair. Do I need a special coam or does it work with a normal coam?
Thats normal, my hair looked like shit when i first dreaded my hair, you just gotta be patient it will take months before they start looking like you want them to and even then it will be hit and miss which is why so many people give in and get rid.
hey man im gonna be startin my dreads soon and i dunno wat the hell im doin man i got a friend to help me but yet again she is clueless too. so how do i know if its back combed enough or how to i get em to stay knotted and how do i maintain the ones in the back if i cant see em? ur help would be appreciated
I was the same with the starter kid, washed wax out with ACV after the frst 14 days of so, and not used since.

i saw your early video... your dreads were really thin.
You say the thinness was from waxing??
Then that means you were using WAY too much wax.

If they feel tight then take em off, rubber bands are like a security blanket, just take care of them and dont wash em for atleast a few month.
