  • I hear what ur sayin about not washing your hair but what about inside your locks? Stuff gets inside and what about when u sweat? Don't you feel itchy and want to wash it with something? Aloe or something natural??

  • I like your accent, bro. I think I'll keep washing mine, though.

  • looks good bro, i dont use products either. salon dreads are weak, dreads arent suppose to look perfect, i agree

  • u still got the dreads mate

  • "i dont wash my hair at all" *pause* - awkward silence- me: ok.. *play*

  • for all who say we need to see bad why not put wax or dread washes BELIEVE YOU ALL ARE RAST use wax? BOB AND HAVE OWN FIRM LIKELY TO OCCUR AND WAX .... Dread is the root of culture RELIGION RASTA NOT A NEW HAYRCUT JAH RAST FARAYYY

  • Dude it looks weird cuz ur balding

  • your hair b steink cuse u dont wash it this nasty

  • @underbo01 actually, if you knew the chemical processes that naturally happen in hair that isn't washed with shampoo, you'd understand that shampooing your hair is what causes the over production of stinky oils because it constantly strips your hair of all its natural oils every time you wash. it can take a long while to transition[[and being a female, i would never be able to wait lol]] but after you hair is given time it produces less oils, which means no stink, and is altogether more healthy

  • What do you do when you go swimming?

  • @deathiinabox if ur doin so called neglect it doesnt hurt it .... salt water can speed it up :P

  • @electlion Yeah I've had mine for about 3 months now so I've gone swimming & it was fine. Thanks for the tip! :)

  • just so you know..

EVERYONE SHOULD BE WASHING THEIR HAIR especially if you do it naturally

I rinse my hair every day and wash every 3 days. Your hair will dread much quicker.

The natural oils work against the locking if you don't wash. Additionally, you'll have some crusty, nasty scalp problems that cause nasty chunks to build up in your dreads.

  • Dreads are meant to be washed.. that's the only thing I don't agree with you on. But keep makin these videos!

  • i know you said u dont wash ur hair but do u clean ur scalp? cus im sure dandruff is a pain in the ass

  • u dont wash your hair? I have dreads and I wash mine. U still have to keep your hair clean and maintained just like regular hair. U could get lice so be careful.

  • i saw your early video... your dreads were really thin.

You say the thinness was from waxing??

Then that means you were using WAY too much wax.

  • nice but i recomend washing your hair..you need a clean scalp

  • 5 STARS***********

  • @Germankid52 haha it's true

  • If they feel tight then take em off, rubber bands are like a security blanket, just take care of them and dont wash em for atleast a few month.

  • how long does it take for the dread to get togehter? I have just started doing them and they do not look that nice.. it is so much loose hair. Do I need a special coam or does it work with a normal coam?

  • Thats normal, my hair looked like shit when i first dreaded my hair, you just gotta be patient it will take months before they start looking like you want them to and even then it will be hit and miss which is why so many people give in and get rid.

  • great vid dude really helpful

  • Thanks man

  • hey man im gonna be startin my dreads soon and i dunno wat the hell im doin man i got a friend to help me but yet again she is clueless too. so how do i know if its back combed enough or how to i get em to stay knotted and how do i maintain the ones in the back if i cant see em? ur help would be appreciated

  • If they feel tight they are done, they wont feel or look amazing yet as they take months to do but be patient and they will get there.

  • Hey man, glad to hear all is going well!! Be sure to keep us all posted on your progress. Peace

  • dude you got nice beats. they look pure real

    yo check out my beats

  • Cheers dude.

  • Cheers mate.

  • I was the same with the starter kid, washed wax out with ACV after the frst 14 days of so, and not used since.

Washing isn't bad, hair doesn't neceserilly clean itself completely, but scalp oils do keep hair and scalp healthy. I won't hurt to wash them on occasion, in fact washign pretty important during the lacking process as purely clean hair will be more likely to catch and not up over greasy/oily hair.

Anyways good vids, nice to see your progress.

  • *washing

    *locking

Sorry fo the spelling lol, the other thign with washign is just to make sure they dry completely before getting them wet again.

  • they look awesome compared to your old vids, they got wayy longer, later man!

  • Thanks man, keep us all updated on your dreads too.
