@U24everitsa I agree, most of it can't match some of the original artists that paved the way. Nor can remakes match original versions. The bottom line, artist like this will be and are being forgotten by the youth. Greedy impostures and their puppet masters love this and I for one aren't having it. Turn off the commercial radio and discover true music!
We had dreams and compassion for all that inhabits our planet then....now we are individualists and our only concern is us and our belongings and shit with the rest.
wish i was around in the 60's!!! the 70's and 80's were cool don't get me wrong, but OMG i wish i was around in the 60's!!! i will NEVER get sick of this song!!!
I loved this song and I bought all of the Mamas and the Papas albums. It was so sad when Mama Cass Elliot died so young. I was in my 60's when this song came out and I remember it like it was yesterday.
said it before..and I'm sayin' it again..I'm building a time machine..that'll take me back to the times when great tunes like this..crooned through the radio waves..and pounded from the jukeboxes..and I ain't EVER coming back..
Yeah, I was there, I'm 60 now. Lived in Yorkville Village in Toronto in 1966 and went to LA and San Fran in 67. Nothing I can think of compares to those days except perhaps the beginning of Beatlemania in 62 63.
omg that is awesome!! im 18 but i would have love to be alive during the 60's awesome times that are never coming back! i guess im stuck with this new crazy bad music (: im so jealous of you!!
xcOrex You're right.I was around in those days and even though we didn't have the cool toys of today times were much simpler, but the music was great as some is today but music meant more back then and had more feeling to it.
No!! Don't be jealous. We babyboomers do not own this music. True, it's the soundtrack of our youth but it is only on loan. Great music survives from generation to generation, not from the ears but from the heart and soul. Keep your heart and soul open and allow the great music of the 60s and 70s to fill your life.
@conmaesta but why didn't you change the world? All those hippies from the 60's are now ruling big companies driving big cars and doing the whole materialistic life-style.
Does anybody know where I can find a copy of the poster at 1:00?

@50diamondgirl I think you mean the 60's. This song is from the 60's, music from the 70's was almost completely ruined by disco.

@vvolfflovv i don't think the same...there are no many good artists anymore.... i think that music stoped improving at the end of 90's ...
now only some artists for me make the music go ahead...

You can all reminise about times past, and say how much better things were "back in the day"
or enjoy today for what it is :)

My Grandma lived in L.A in 1965-66 then she moved To San Fran . she went to Monterey and Woodstock
i Always ask her what it was like back in the 60s and she says it was the best time of her life
and she would do anything to go back over 40 years and relive it over and over again

Yes. It's sad that Yorkville has been changed into posh boutiques and trendy coffee shops. Makes you weep, doesn't it?
