sloopykins, paging sloopykins, your daddy is looking for you hunni, he says you are not getting your allowance until you finish his massage, and he's excitedly anticipating the "happy ending", so hurry back to dear old dad, he needs ya hunni! ;o)
@Baskerville22 Doing a little research would save you a lot of embarrassment. This guy was famous for a lot more than Sloopy. Ever heard of Rock n Roll Hoochie Koo?
Still the official Rock and Roll song of the State of Ohio. The Ohio State Marching Band ( "The Best Damn Band in the Land") plays it during breaks at every game. Go Bucks!
I got to meet Rick's wife Jenda on Tuesday night(the 26th); in a local hangout called The Shake Pit in Bradenton, Florida where I live. I was there with my soon to be husband when she came in. She is super nice. This song was playing on the radio as she was talking to us and the owner about Rick.
I was a kid when this came out in '65. I thought he was singing "Snoopy, hang on" at first! Go Snoopy! KTKT Channel 99 in Tucson, AZ! Hahaaaaa! Oy, I never thought I'd live this long. Cheers.
rember that 1 from am radio , i waz 7. still rockin 2 all his music. had all of his lps in very good conditon signed.got to sit at a table & talk 2 him after sets. 1/2 the people in the bar did not know who he was.
Everybody has a song that they can't shake and this has to be Rick's, FANTASTIC! And his body of work since ain't so bad either. Thanks Rick for the music man!
NO, never heard of it...and I suspect that you & Derringer might be the only people who ever did.

I bought this 45 at a garage sale for 10 cents, when I was 5 years old (1971) and thought it was so cool.
After a few days of playing it around the clock on my phono player my mother freaked out and said it was pornographic.
She still let me rock out to it though, she's pretty cool I guess:)
