Be sure to buy an extended warranty. The motherboard had to be replaced on my SZ-260 after 18 months (the warranty is 12 months). The replacement from Sony was also defective, with the chip for battery recharging failing after 105 days (Sony warranty for parts replacement only 90 days). Sony is shipping defective products. They should have to pay to have defective parts replaced, not you.

I have 2 of them and have yet to have any problems (other than when I installed Vista on one, and that was a driver issue)

On Vista its dodgy. On XP SP3, it runs fantastic.

the first one was busted this one needed upgrades but i love it. I think it's one of the best laptops i got.

yeah get the warranty they try to screw u if u dont. i have the t7500 2.20ghz it's realy fkn fast. I didnt even know this thing was for gaming till i played call of duty 4 on it. It plays it perfect it never fuckes up any more all u need to do is upgrade it wen u get it. I think ur going to like it every one that sees mine thinks it fkn sick.

if u dont get warranty they only give a the store warranty for 11 days thank god my old one broke in 5 lol. I sent it back they gave me a new one and u can get up to 4 gigs of ram it has slots it's easy i did it myself.

store warranty and manufacturer warranty is not the same thing. You get 1 yr standard from the mfg and the store decide of they own warranty..

Get the service on any laptop...from TigerDirect. They just replace the computer for you with a store credit. BBY and CC both are really starting to lag in the last few years in terms of service times. (Best Buy told me 2-6 weeks, I'm on week two)
