Saddam Houssein was a threat to the US, and we did what we had to in order to defend ourselves. Our mission was to stop Saddam and remove him from power. We have successfully accomplished those objectives. So I'd say the war in Iraq was a success. We aren't there to babysit them.

Before anyone says "America never wins wars" again, take this into consideration. Our priority in Iraq wasn't liberation. Saddam Houssein was a threat to the US, and we did what we had to in order to defend ourselves. Our mission was to stop Saddam and remove him from power. We have successfully accomplished those objectives. So I'd say the war in Iraq was a success. We aren't there to babysit them.
