Also true Hinduism needs to be brought back, which is Ajivkaism. Nowadays we Hindus are just superstitious idiots who only follow puranas with thousand gods.
These stories are only meant to be taken metaphorically not literally. these puranas are meant to develop one's mind but we HINDUS have become just superstitious.
if only our politicians saw this serial at least once!! they would understand what it is to be a real Indian.shame on the spineless cowards who easily bend their knees before a foreign gov, and shame on them who cannot guard our borders.
the only way to save india is by establishing a gurkul with proper acharya..who can teach the students adminstration as stated in the vedas...and those students can make thier party and rule justly..because it wll be foolishness to expect something from the present politicians...
No it is the Buddhist ulcer that has ruined India. A generation that is self content is heading only towards death. This disease of being self content prevented us from going ahead. This infection was handed over to hindus by Buddha. You see, wherever Buddhism has prevailed beggary has grown.
Buddhism gave india the concept of toleracen and after buddhism declined the brahmins introduced their bastardised caste system that led to the downfall of hindu civilisation and led to islamic domination of north india for 500 years
Can you please quote those sutras that taught tolerance. You mean to say that caste was not there in ancient India and as soon as Buddhism perished, people were overnight classified as shudras and those poor fellows accepted this overnight labelling. Further please don't use adjectives in responses as they are counter productive. You need to leave Red spectacles to properly appreciate this fact.
The ancient vedic religion had what is known as varn i.e to choose ones wahy of life. Whne Buddhism declined in the 7th century it was replaced largely by brahmanism with its evil caste system created by brahmins to keep them dominating socity, brahmins have always aposed buddhism, pushyamitra sunga had bihadradta assascinated and after usruping teh throne of maghad persecuted buddhists, after the collapse of the pala dynsasty in the 11 century, the sena kingdom replaced buddhism with brahmanism
Why do you fast forward the story of decline of Buddhism in India and hastily insert Casteism and attribute it to something called "Brahminism". End of Maurya dynasty is brahminical conspiracy but growth of Maurya dynasty under able guidance of Chanakya is by what definition non brahminical. Can you please narrate the story of development of castes in a little detail. Remember that it was resurgence of Sanatan Dharma that India did not convert completely to Islam.
Detail aye - vedic religion doesnt mention caste in teh way it is followed now, it speak of varn - to choose ones way of life, the fluidity of Inian society is seen for instance in the fact that Ashoks mother - dharma - was a bhramin - caste system became rigid udring the decline of the Gupta dynasty with the development of puranic beliefs which spoke of brahmin superiority through stories like parushurama e.t.c.
Why don't you contrast it with Afghanistan and Pakistan which also had converted to Buddhism and were part of Mauryan empire. Both had contracted the AIDS of Buddhism. But since they did not take the antiviral of Hinduism they swerved and fell to Islamic hands.
Aids of Buddhism, it was Buddhism that led to India being an international power, Buddhist missionaries were sent as far as greece and egypt opening up india to the outside world.
Wat Buddhism led to is disintegration of India into smaller states...
Buddhism was the root reason that paved way for softening of India which was later invaded by Islamic barbarians.
In actual, Chanakya philosophy was nothing new... it was all application of Vedic policies as told several times in Ramayana and Mahabharata. Problem was Indians forgot them due to their tolerance for Buddhism... he made them remm it.
Chanakya carried forward wat Krishna taught to Arjuna.
@Indianlogic buddhism is the reason thth india came under islamic rule, and thts y buddhism declined coz buddhism in thr stupid zeal of non violent stupidity even in the face of an islamic inavsion by barbaric people preferred to get slaughtered and destroyed rather than pickin the sword and fighting with hindus, most of the buddhists returned to hindusim or gt slaughtered or converted to islam, thts y buddhism gt its ass kicked by muslims invaders and thts y hinduism survivied
@thescorpionking2020 It is simply not true that Bhuddism was the reason Indian came under Islam. Indian's states were not united and Muslims were on the rise all over the known world. Muslim control of Indian would have happened regardless. Deal with it. BTW, don't act like Indians were passive. That's total bs.
So you mean that it was Buddhism that brought India in touch with rest of the world. You must know that Krishna fought a battle with Kaalyavana, a character from Arabia. Ram fought with Ravana, a character from Ramayana. Now to speak of trade cotton was traded between India and the world much before Buddha.
Yes, Buddhism did bring India in touch with the outside world, much of the mahabharat is mythology weaved into anceint history. Ravan was a demonised king of anceint lanka. Many people dont know why Ravan kidnapped sita, it was because his sister was dishonoured by lakshman, if a kings sisters was ill treated, would he sit idle and not do anything about it, but ramayana paints him as an evil demon.
"Much" of Mahabharata is mythology. How much is true history. Now about Shurpanakha. Please go ahead with your line of thought. Since Shurpanakha's nose was cut by Lakshaman, ravana was justified in kidnapping Sita. Why don't you tell why did Lakshaman cut the nose of Shurpanakha ? Probably you failed to read that while shurpanakha was heading to harm Sita, Lakshaman intervened and in this scuffle Shurpanakha's nose was cut. She was not fastened to cot and her nose slit.
Shupranka wanted to marry lakshman, but when he refused she attacked sita, what kind of warrior was lakshman to attack a woman with a sword in such a manner, if he was a true warrior he would have restrain her and sent her to ravaan, this probably would have prevented the war.
Buddhism brought India in touch with the outside world. OK. So you mean Ahiravana was a Buddhist emissary to South America. Kalyavana was an Arabic student on a visit to study Buddhism in India. Buddhists traded cotton with the rest of the world much before the advent of Buddha. How foolish. Buddhism has only followed Hindu paths to the world and malafide means to spread. No one abroad would have listened to those Buddhist emissaries unless they were told as belonging to Hindu India.
Hinduism itslef has changed so much over the last 2500 years, it was originally a logical monethiest belief system and now it ahs become a supertstitous mishmash of different beliefs and cults dedicated to idol worship, the vedas are all but forgotten whilst people follow stories like purans.
And who from the blues told you that buddhism spread in Greece also. They had a culture of their own, which was ruined only by Islamists. Wherever Buddhism flourished, beggary spread. There is no nation in World that has prospered by Buddhist principles.
I never said Buddhism spread to greece, i said that Buddhist missionaries were sent as far as greece and egypt, have you seen then writings of Ashok, they are in numerous languages including pali, aramaeic and greek, testyfing to the international status of the mauryan empire.
Buddha himself died at Kushi in Bihar after consumption of pork. Do you know any writing of Buddha or his contemporary. Whatever is available, has been written by his followers. It is an ideologically destitute path which has only borrowed some principles from here and there. All the sayings of Buddha were already in the Indian civilization. What he did was, he pulled onesaying from one particular philosophy and the other from another philosophy
Even hinduism copied the idea of non violence and vegetarianism from buddhism, ancient hindus sacrificed cattle yet today the cow is cosidered sacred, look at what the vedas say about God:
Rigveda mantra 1/164/46 says," EKAM SADRUPA VIPRAH BAHUDHA VADANTI," i.e., EKAM SATAM means truth is one i.e., God is one but VIPRAH = Rishis, Munis who were/are learned of Vedas, BAHUDHA VADANTI utters so many names of God mentioned in Vedas
Is there any relation between the above two lines. First you must know that Ahimsa is a concept of Hinduism (see patanjala yoga sutra for instance). Yes the definition is different in Hinduism and Buddhism.secondly the vedic Hymn has been wrongly quoted by you. It does not go so. Read properly.
This rampant copying without regard to context made it self confused. Buddhism does not regard God. But mahayana and Vajrayana both recognise Tara, a Hindu deity.
Yajurveda mantra 40/8 says that God is everywhere, Almighty, formless, nervous system less, purest, away from sins and away to face any result of any karmas(deeds), knows every soul, knows what is in everyone's mind, no body has made God, but God creates universe.
This is a far cry from the murti pooja and abstract mythology that plagues hinduism today, hindus have gone away from the eternal widsom of the vedas and instead follow pathetic mythological stories of the purans.
This again shows your self confusion. If you believe Yajurveda 40/8 you must believe Shvetashvataropanishad which says that God has thousands of eyes, hands and so on. This Vedic interpretation of yours is another example of what happens when an incompetent man is set on to the job. Further Hindus do not worship idols, they worship God through those idols. You can say that idols are only instruments and nothing more.
God has thousand eyes and hoand and so on is a metophorical for his limitless power and knowledge, truth is that our ancestors worshipped God through yaghya puja, which was the correct way to worship God, later hindus started making images of devtas and used mythology surounding them to build new belief systems, idol worship or focal worship or whatever you call it, its not in line with the vedas, the scriptures of sanatan dharm
Why to blame muslim?? Hindus biggest sin:killing baby girl in mothers stomach. God is there to protect everone. Ever thing is happing because of him. Hindus in future will be killed and murder. No doubt. temples will be destory. Not because muslim is bad, because of hindus our own sins. we need to do following things 1) to stop killing of girl-child in stomach 2) stop following west. 3) Start reading our hindu text 4) put sika on the head. (follow hindu tradition).Stop dowry
Well said mate. We need another chanakya. one cant remail mute. India is facing the same problem now. With China moving in and out of our boders at will and our own people aiding and abbeting terrorists in blowing up trains and bridges in Bombay.

The word 'Hindu' did not exist in those days. But that is what we would call them today. Although later in life chandragupt converted to jainism and became a monk. Some say that even chanakya had relatives who practiced jainism.
For one thing Jains do not go about demanding that they be treated like special people. They are a minority sect that is in an affluent position and seems happy with just that. The other thing is that many Indians view Jains to be a sect which comes under the umbrella of Hinduism, granted with its distinctive characteristics.
Thats the beauty of Hinduism, isn't it. It has so many philosophies, sometimes diametrically opposite, proposed by sages and all of them living peacefully and exchanging ideas. yes jainism is a bit different from hinduism, but many hindus consider it as a subsect of hinduism because there is no unique path in hindusim and jainism is a different concept put forward by another sage. Like there are many deities, there are many philosophies in hinduism about god, man and their relationship.
@82abhilash Incorrect. Here is what googling gave me afrom t wikipedia:

Later on, Chandragupta Maurya took Jainism on abdicating his throne which passed to his Son Bindusara who was an Ajivaka.
