Also, can a 60-frame-per-second video be slowed down on, say, Premiere to make smooth, 30-frame-per-second slo-mo?

If you want to record wivdeo without using a expensive HD PVR I would suggest this but don't try it on HD TV's It will mess it up Use it Only on a Old "Dinosaur TV" all you need is the component cord a splitter for video and a console

@Heather45689 I hope you didn't make the mistake of pluging the camera into your computer before installing the disc?

I did that with a same brand camera...different model and it would never recognize that computer.

Always install the C-D before plugging up the device.

Just bought a new battery and 8meg card for mine, it rocks for the price and here is a tip for recording sound at a concert that is mega loud. The mic is located on the side and if you take a nylon not plastic bandaid and cover it using the padding the sound comes out excellent! Who cares about the format there are plenty of apps that convert if you know how to use a computer and your mommy does not have you locked down from installing them. I love this cheap cam it's tough and can hang.

It's not actually 8mp quality. It's a 5mp sensor that interpolates up to 8mp for images. Also, because it's a cmos sensor - you get a good bit of pixelation.

plug it into your pc with the usb cord, then find the camera under "my computer" or take out the SD card and put it in your Memory card slot on your pc. oh, you have to turn the camera OM when you plug it in with a usb cord!

I was turning the lens to change to micro mode and i turn the lens to far around that it snap from setting to micro mode and now i can't set back to nomicro mode and is stuck on micro mode. I try to take the lens out but was to hard and i didn't to break the lens so how can i set it back to nomicro cause won't switch.

I like it. I bought an external mic because the sound quality is crappy. Zoom sucks as well. But don't buy the $9.99 external mic, those will crack. I bought a $100 external mic too make the sound quality perfect!

Thats because the file format s .MOV, which windows Movie maker does not allow. So I use camtasia Studio.

what i dont understand is i saw this thing at target and it was only $100. then i saw the flip camcorder and some other big camcorder thing and they were both $180. now this camcorder has better quality, bigger RAM, MP3 player, and other stuff, but the expensive one didnt and it was still $180. why is this camcorder so cheap compared to the bigger stuff when its just as good?
