He was such a good musician! Made it look so easy! What he lacked in physical prowess and height he more than made up for in musical talent, charisma, and a genuine concern for people. Seems that kids who go thru hardship are often far more compassionate and resilient than the spoiled brats who have every material and educational advantage handed to them on a gilded platter. Every good, kind person I know has faced significant sorrows in life. Not surprisingly, Dudley is another example.
I'm gonna sound like a nerd! I noticed a Ford Sierra and a Vauxhall Cavalier in the parking lot. I'm giving a guess at 1991. Also...While he made a documentary on music he did this at the same time. Was in touch with Rena Fruchter for a while via email. Said he was very private and things like this were difficult. Dudley hated anybody to portray him! So guess he decided better do it himself! lol Hope that helps?
I squeed out loud when I saw the organ bit (4:15). Playing the organ in such a beautiful setting was one thing but wearing his glasses made it even better. :-p
I always guessed he was special, but never to this great extent. So fabulously talented and so human and lovely.
