Well u play good, but u don't hold the pick right, u strum the strings too hard and u cant really keep beat on those riffs and neck taping. But yeah it's pretty good I couldn't play like that when I was 10, i can play better than that now, but I'm 13 (I've been in lessons not too long now and I've improved lots) so I bet u will improve too
That kid can sure play some tight riffs. Granted, I never liked the pickup configuration on the Stephen Carpenter ESP. That rhythm pickup would sound so much better if it were moved further towards the neck. Otherwise, this kid is rocking out!
If people continue to blindly praise his rubbish playing he will never progress. He is good for his age, but needs to be reminded of his weak points so that he can better from it.

Cool that he's playing as young as he is but... it's really not that amazing. He plays the same riff with like 3 notes and some chugging, then plays a solo of the same 10 notes over and over with some hesitant tapping thrown in. I'm interested to see him progress, however. If he finds passion for good music I'm sure he'll become a great player.
I hate how shitty players get respect because of their age. I can understand respecting a kid who can play a complicated Chopin piece and not have that much dynamics because kids just don't normally have the brain function to add those types of dynamics to complicated classical pieces, but kids like this shouldn't get attention because of their age.

I started playing guitar at 15 (relatively late) and I do play better than him. But how amazing will he be when he's my age? That's why people make comments like yours.
Poppycock. I have seen a number of kids his age and younger that make look like a noob. This is what I would expect if you were to give a 10 year old kid this age a 7 string guitar and a couple of metal albums. I could give a rat's ass when I started, I like where I am now and I keep progressing further every time I pick up my guitar. As harsh as this seems, nick jonas has more music in him than this kid, he just isn't that special.
I suggest checking out B.B King young sir. Learn some emotion. For the great B.B King may not shred like this, but he can put more heart and soul into one bend than this entire solo.

excitment control - never get excited if you can possibly help it because the more calm you remain the better you are in the fight.

I started playing guitar at 15 (relatively late) and I do play better than him. But how amazing will he be when he's my age? He has an extra 5 years of experience that I physically can't ever make up for :) I think deep down us older people are just a wee bit jealous that we didn't start at an earlier age. That's why people make comments like yours.

Poppycock. I have seen a number of kids his age and younger that make look like a noob. This is what I would expect if you were to give a 10 year old kid this age a 7 string guitar and a couple of metal albums. I could give a rat's ass when I started, I like where I am now and I keep progressing further every time I pick up my guitar. As harsh as this seems, nick jonas has more music in him than this kid, he just isn't that special.

@FrontlineGuitar, It don't matter if you're the best guitarist in your school, that's like sayin you're the coolest kid with down syndrome in a mentally challeneged help program lol, the fact that this kid's ten and plays amost as good as somebody like paul gilbert with a seven string is fuckin' bombin'! I'm one of the better guitarists in my school too, but when your school doesn't have that many guitarists to begin with, doesn't really matter all that much. I give this kid props like hell XD

Young or not, no one deserves the credit JUST BECAUSE they're smaller. I've seen 6 year olds who are great, get by the awkwardness and the giant guitars. Really...
I mean in my 1 year of playing, I outmatch his 3. NOT BECAUSE HES LITTLE! SIZE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH SKILL. He's okay, definitely not ready to go for guitar idol. Neither am I.
