The "echo" is overdubbing of tracks to give it the effect of more than one person singing. I can hear three tracks in this song, all distinctive, which means that the voice actress sang the song three times, and the tracks were overlaid. Not an easy feat--covering a song three times so they are different enough, but not so different that the tracks blend too perfectly.
