not sure if it went through, so again, molly are you nuts and all the critics, world cup ski athletes are among the strongest and best,so to speak elite athletes,look at the weather, it is snowing,visability,pitch etc,etc.awsome angles, great skiing for the conditions,pole plant way to big, molly? i have skiied next to kostalic, awsome skiier,ski racing is about speed and power,they all train to perfection,try hammering down a course and filming it,then judge. ah recreational skiiers,love em!!!!

nice one bud, at least you have the experience to know what you are talking about, i was coaching a team last week, some good skiers but when it got tough even the best of them struggled, as we all do, keep racing man, and goodluck

hey, molly... First of all, that part of the course is the most difficult and steepest... You don't wanna go nicely there as long as you don't want to end up alst. Secondly, I'd like to see you there FAST and PERFECT... on parts of courses like this it's not about going technically perfect, but to go AS FAST AS POSSIBLE with AS FEW MISTAKES AS POSSIBLE... you want to strive for perfection, but you'd (NO ONE) never manage that...:)

Yeah, you really need to take into consideration that the pitch is ridiculously steep, and the gates are too close together for a perfect clean carve.

first of all kostelic won silver in the 2006 olympics in slalom while raich and shonfelder are 2 great austrian champions,so in this video we arent talking about amatures, nor pros, they are world class athletes.the best of the best.the technique looks bad, even for a very steep course,i agree, but you need to take in to consideration many things: the angles are VERY tight and, if you have ever been on a world cup course you would know that it is literally solid ice.

You can clearly see how Raich is cleaner, his outside ski chatter a lot less when he passes the red gate. Also tighter to the gate. Man did he ski crazy fast that year.

And yeah, that slope is crazy steep.

They are not struggling, just trying to go fast. WC racing is not meant to be pretty. If they tried to make those turns nice and round around the gates they'd lose so much time. These two are probably among the best technicians in WC, using their techniques more to compensate for their smaller physiques. Some of the guys on WC could be 49ers linebackers, and some of the girls too, hah. Ths course is so steep that it even breaks schoenfelder's rhythm and carving action, now that's some course.

Now that's what I call off-piste. Those skis are in the air most of the time. Can't believe he's able to hold an edge with all that airborne chopping and changing. Certainly makes GS look super smooth by comparison.

haha dude Wengen is the hardest slalom race on the world cup. i doubt the course is very forgiving either it is probably very tight, small radius and across the hill. These guys are the best in the world at what they do despite the terrain they still have amazing pressure above the gate and are able maintain a fucking impossible line. No one can do it better than these guys, i raced there for FIS and 2/3rds of the field blew out out the course. You are so clueless, these guys phenomenal.
