Satan will be punished (as will all other sinners-Rev20;12-15) for his own sins, which include responisbility for (1)the existence of sin,(2)his own evil actionos, &(3)influencing every person on earth to sin. God will clearly hold him accountable for evil. This is what the symbolism of the transfer of sin to the scapegoat(Satan) on the day of Atonement is meant to convey. This is what SDAs teach. you've been missinformed.
How sad? I find it heartbreaking to read Christians arguing with each other like this. These online battles add nothing to anyone and to be honest are tantemount to bullying in some places. Jesus will return and take the ones who love him with all their heart and soul and followed his commandments to heaven. they will be there 1000 years and then return to the new earth and the new Jerusalem.
Satan was the first being in the universe to sin. He is the father of all lies.
Lies lead to hurt. and death.
But when ever someone says Jesus, demons tremble. That's because Jesus is God almighty, the truth and the way. Jesus Loves you all, and one day, he will return and sin shall be no more.
But Satan is the one who sinned originally. Therefore he is the 'author of sin.' Now in regards to the Day of Atonement belief. I believe that people, in every denomination have interpreted things and shared them. These cannot be seen as belief's of the SDA church but as belief's of the person just as your and my opinion are ours and ours alone. I am not trying to convince anyone out of their own opinion. But I just wanted to share some things I think should be considered.
I'm not here to bash anyone or anything because I believe you have a right to any opinion. But I do want to say that many of the things mentioned here seem to be based off of a lot of here-say type stuff. SDA's in no way believe that Satan is anything but the devil who is the one who fought againt God in Heaven and is now trying to tempt us and make us lose our salvation (us meaning the human race). You are right in saying that it is completely our choice...
I have been an SDA my whole life. I do not believe that the church is preaching anything but the Gospel. Ellen G. White is someone that is looked to in the church as a prophet. The church itself does not look at the writing's of Ellen G. White as equal with the Bible. I personally do not because the Bible is THE Word of God. SDA's do not believe that Jesus is an angel. Ellen G. White says 'Michael the Archangel' refering to Jesus, but this is one of Jesus' many positions in Heaven.
The SDA and the JW don't surprise me at all. They are both evil and false prophets. And for the rest of you Christians, there is only one way to God....unconditional love....Jesus or no Jesus.....unconditional love is the key to eternal life!! Wake up before it is too late.
I believed for over 10 years as a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church that Satan was my scapegoat and that Jesus would put my confessed sins on Satan’s head and he would be punished and die for them because Ellen G. White said so. I made the mistake of trusting her as my authority. The result of using her as an authority "the lesser light" to the Bible, gave me a false understanding of the work of my Savior in saving me. I have since left the SDA and now Jesus is my complete Saviour.
ATTENTION Adventists: Are you a perfect Sabbath keeper? Yes or No?
If Yes, then do you claim you are actually perfectly keeping the Sabbath Commandment without flaw at all?
And do you then claim you keep the whole 10 Commandments perfectly and that you are now sinless, because James said if you break 1 point you break the whole law! So you would need to be a perfect 10 Commandment keeper to be classified as a Perfect Sabbath Keeper.

@The1Antonio1 I try my best to keep the commandments and if I break one I ask Christ to forgive me. I am however more of a former adventist or transitioning, confused person at this time as to whether or not I should continue to follow adventism or not. I do believe in the Sabbath because it is Biblical and scripture doesn't prove otherwise. No where in scripture does it say the sabbath is ever changed. However Ellen White didn't have to tell me this, the Bible did.
The whole church needs to get back to the Bible & Jesus Christ. We need to quit following prophets, popes, TV evangelists, books, & back to following the true Risen Christ. There is too much confusion in the body. We need another Reformation or another Great Awakening to clean all this false doctrine out. Let's get down to the bedrock foundation which is Jesus Christ.
Adventists have rejected the gospel of grace. Instead they believe they are saved by personal Sabbath keeping. And this can easily be proven.. Approach any Adventist and ask them this:
"If you stopped attending Church service every Sabbath for the rest of your life, will you still be saved by faith in Jesus Christ?"
They will begin to twitch, get upset and defensive and if they answer you, their answer will be "Hmm not sure" OR "No only SDA Sabbath keepers will avoid the mark of the beast"

What you write is not at all what the SDA faith believes. The SDA does not believe in salvation through works, nor do they believe in salvation through 7th day Sabbath keeping. SDA believes in salvation through Grace of our savior Christ Jesus.
Furthermore, the SDA does not believe that Satan has any part in atonement for sin, Jesus paid the price for our sins! However, Satan will be held accountable for what he has done.
SDA's teach that satan is the second goat spoken of on the day of atonement, and the bible teaches that the second goat also provides an atonement for the people. If you believe that satan is the second goat, then by your own admission, and according to scripture, you DO teach that satan provides an atonement for the people.

Really this was my first time ever hearing about adventist calling Jesus Micheal the Archangel and I've been attending church for about five years. I don't think this is necessarily true. The devil always looks for something to distract people from the Word of God. Azazel meaning "angry god of death" was the god of the ancient Canaanite worship of the "Evil One", an ancient form of devil worship. This DOES represent the devil and in the end the devil will bear responsibility for leading Mankind into sin. But does that mean that he is a redeemer? NO. Jesus lived the perfect life and was sacrificed for our sins. Azazel was not sacrificed for the sins of the camp. Just like those who the devil has led astray, God will punish them in the end.

We believe that Jesus is our Heavenly High Priest. That his sacrafice means that there is no more requirement for animal sacrifices as prescribed by the old testament covenant. But that the bible never did away with the sabbath as a day of rest and relation with God. We believe the Bible is our only standard as far as worship and relation with God is concerned. We believe that God did endow Ellen White with the spirit of Prophecy. But nothing that she says contradicts the word of God.

Who is "Like" God? The answer is in the bible is there is no one like God, and never did he call his son an angel. Jesus is not an archangel or any type of angel. See videos, "who is like God" and "counterfeit christ." The adventist and the jehovah witness religions do not have the facts about Christ.

If you had truly studied all claims adventist make and looking sincerely at what others have to say outside of the sda beliefs you would never believe as you do. A church that begins in 1844 claims nearly 2000 yrs of Church history is wrong because E. White persuaded others to believe this.
The Sabbath was not created for Jews, the Sabbath was kept in the Garden of Eden, before there was a Jew, the Sabbath was created for all mankind as a day of remembrance that God is our Creator and Creator of the universe. As far as Ellen G. White, as in the above comment, We believe that God did endow Ellen White with the spirit of Prophecy. But nothing that she says contradicts the word of God.
@irishlasee I have read Ellen G. White's work and a lot of it contradicts the word of God. The fact that she predicted the second coming of Christ in 1844 (which never happened) was a contradiction towards Scripture. Jesus said himself that no on not even himself will know the day. How did Ellen white know the day? Is she above Christ?
@sclock2 if you actually did read EG Whites books you would know she does not contradict scripture at all and would fully understand what happened in 1844 and the light that was given afterward. it was not her that claimed 1844 anyway. clearly you dont know of what you speak.
@sclock2 You obviously haven't read Ellen White's work, you wouldn't even have had to read any of her works to know that she never predicted the second coming of Christ in 1844. Ellen White never said she had a vision before 1844 and the Adventist church wasn't founded until 1863. You should actually read a book like "The Desire of Ages" and make an informed decision about Ellen White and if she was some kind of a deceiver.
I hate to say it, but the entire teaching of 1844 contradicts the bible. Her teaching of the sanctuary does not show a woman enlightened by God on the matter, as she did not fully understand the sanctuary. I'm sure she loved God and followed him to the best of her ability, but her beliefs were not all based on the bible.

How is it that one can believe on the Ten Commandments as a standard of moral eptitude yet remove one as not apart of that standard? When have you known God to change his plan for his people? Romans 6:15 Says What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
God forbids us from continuing in willful sin. To not remember the sabbath day is sin.
Where is it a sin in the New Testament not to keep the old covenant sabbath in which there is no commandment to keep? When scripture says whatever day we choose we dedicated it to the Lord? The problem is that sabbatarians especially adventist think if we don't keep the Old Covenant sabbath according to E.Whites vision that heathen lawlessness will break out. On the contrary, and that is what Paul is saying in that verse. We are not under the law of Moses, but under Grace and the law perfected.

Jesus gave no command to keep the Old Covenant sabbath. Paul says this Romans 14:5-6. Jesus never said the sabbath was a test of loyalty.
From what I know of the sda's they dont see azazel as part of the atonement of sins but rather the scapegoat. Our sins are forgiven but not erased forever, they are written in the books that record our lives from where we will be judged. finally, when satan is destroyed, satan and sin will be destroyed, represented by azaael because he is the one Responsible for the lives he took...or something like that...

But Satan is the one who sinned originally. Therefore he is the 'author of sin.' Now in regards to the Day of Atonement belief. I believe that people, in every denomination have interpreted things and shared them. These cannot be seen as belief's of the SDA church but as belief's of the person just as your and my opinion are ours and ours alone. I am not trying to convince anyone out of their own opinion. But I just wanted to share some things I think should be considered.

But I do want to say that many of the things mentioned here seem to be based off of a lot of here-say type stuff. SDA's in no way believe that Satan is anything but the devil who is the one who fought againt God in Heaven and is now trying to tempt us and make us lose our salvation (us meaning the human race). I have been an SDA my whole life. I do not believe that the church is preaching anything but the Gospel. Ellen G. White is someone that is looked to in the church as a prophet. The church itself does not look at the writing's of Ellen G. White as equal with the Bible. I personally do not because the Bible is THE Word of God. SDA's do not believe that Jesus is an angel. Ellen G. White says 'Michael the Archangel' refering to Jesus, but this is one of Jesus' many positions in Heaven.

I believed for over 10 years as a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church that Satan was my scapegoat and that Jesus would put my confessed sins on Satan’s head and he would be punished and die for them because Ellen G. White said so. I made the mistake of trusting her as my authority. The result of using her as an authority "the lesser light" to the Bible, gave me a false understanding of the work of my Savior in saving me. I have since left the SDA and now Jesus is my complete Saviour.

If Yes, then do you claim you are actually perfectly keeping the Sabbath Commandment without flaw at all?
And do you then claim you keep the whole 10 Commandments perfectly and that you are now sinless, because James said if you break 1 point you break the whole law! So you would need to be a perfect 10 Commandment keeper to be classified as a Perfect Sabbath Keeper.

I am however more of a former adventist or transitioning, confused person at this time as to whether or not I should continue to follow adventism or not. I do believe in the Sabbath because it is Biblical and scripture doesn't prove otherwise. No where in scripture does it say the sabbath is ever changed. However Ellen White didn't have to tell me this, the Bible did.

The whole church needs to get back to the Bible & Jesus Christ. We need to quit following prophets, popes, TV evangelists, books, & back to following the true Risen Christ. There is too much confusion in the body. We need another Reformation or another Great Awakening to clean all this false doctrine out. Let's get down to the bedrock foundation which is Jesus Christ.

Adventists have rejected the gospel of grace. Instead they believe they are saved by personal Sabbath keeping. And this can easily be proven.. Approach any Adventist and ask them this:
"If you stopped attending Church service every Sabbath for the rest of your life, will you still be saved by faith in Jesus Christ?"
They will begin to twitch, get upset and defensive and if they answer you, their answer will be "Hmm not sure" OR "No only SDA Sabbath keepers will avoid the mark of the beast"

What you write is not at all what the SDA faith believes. The SDA does not believe in salvation through works, nor do they believe in salvation through 7th day Sabbath keeping. SDA believes in salvation through Grace of our savior Christ Jesus.
Furthermore, the SDA does not believe that Satan has any part in atonement for sin, Jesus paid the price for our sins! However, Satan will be held accountable for what he has done.

Yes i am a Seventh-day Adventist and I pray to Jesus Christ of Nazareth the son of God. Really this was my first time ever hearing about adventist calling Jesus Micheal the Archangel and I've been attending church for about five years. I don't think this is necessarily true. The devil always looks for something to distract people from the Word of God. But i don't think we all should be wasting our times in this confusing because the bible say that satan is in the mist of confusion.

I'm referring to Jeremiah 31:27-33. Read it. The law wasn't new The covenant in these verses is that he would write his LAW on their hearts. This was after Amos and Hosea so any argument within them would not hold up.

(Thus the scape goat) Adam made a choice to disobey God and Because God loves us he gave a way for us to be redeemed from our sins through Jesus. Azazel meaning "angry god of death" was the god of the ancient Canaanite worship of the "Evil One", an ancient form of devil worship. This DOES represent the devil and in the end the devil will bear responsibility for leading Mankind into sin. But does that mean that he is a redeemer? NO. Jesus lived the perfect life and was sacrificed for our sins. Azazel was not sacrificed for the sins of the camp. Just like those who the devil has led astray, God will punish them in the end.

We believe that Jesus is our Heavenly High Priest. That his sacrafice means that there is no more requirement for animal sacrifices as prescribed by the old testament covenant. But that the bible never did away with the sabbath as a day of rest and relation with God. We believe the Bible is our only standard as far as worship and relation with God is concerned. We believe that God did endow Ellen White with the spirit of Prophecy. But nothing that she says contradicts the word of God.

I studied and found the claims against Catholics are so far fetched and can be called nothing more than false witness. The teaching Jesus is Micheal also tragic. Adventist claim persecution when challenged on their beliefs, but have no problem calling the pope the antichrist, or Sunday the mark of the beast trying to discredit others by using failed prophecy. A church that begins in 1844 claims nearly 2000 yrs of Church history is wrong because E. White persuaded others to believe this.

The fact that she predicted the second coming of Christ in 1844 (which never happened) was a contradiction towards Scripture. Jesus said himself that no on not even himself will know the day. Ellen White never said she had a vision before 1844 and the Adventist church wasn't founded until 1863. You should actually read a book like "The Desire of Ages" and make an informed decision about Ellen White and if she was some kind of a deceiver.

Her teaching of the sanctuary does not show a woman enlightened by God on the matter, as she did not fully understand the sanctuary. How is it that one can believe on the Ten Commandments as a standard of moral eptitude yet remove one as not apart of that standard? When have you known God to change his plan for his people? Romans 6:15 Says What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
God forbids us from continuing in willful sin. To not remember the sabbath day is sin.

Where is it a sin in the New Testament not to keep the old covenant sabbath in which there is no commandment to keep? When scripture says whatever day we choose we dedicated it to the Lord? The problem is that sabbatarians especially adventist think if we don't keep the Old Covenant sabbath according to E.Whites vision that heathen lawlessness will break out. On the contrary, and that is what Paul is saying in that verse. We are not under the law of Moses, but under Grace and the law perfected.

["The Sabbath will be the great test of loyalty;] for it is the point of truth especially controverted. When the final test shall be brought to bear upon men, then the line of distinction will be drawn between those who serve God and those who serve Him not. The Great Controversy - The Final Warning Pg: 605
Jesus gave no command to keep the Old Covenant sabbath. Paul says this Romans 14:5-6. Jesus never said the sabbath was a test of loyalty.

From what I know of the sda's they dont see azazel as part of the atonement of sins but rather the scapegoat. Our sins are forgiven but not erased forever, they are written in the books that record our lives from where we will be judged. finally, when satan is destroyed, satan and sin will be destroyed, represented by azaael because he is the one Responsible for the lives he took...or something like that...

I had seen this about the Seventh-day Adventist but this is the first time I have actually seen it explained. They really need our prayers and God's help. This is so far off the Jesus of the Bible.
