i don't think anybody enjoys this; nevertheless, I'm of the opinion that one NEEDS to be informed about what is going on. i know many people who refrained from buying cosmetics from companies using, torturing, killing animals for their prooducts because of videos like this. consequently, i'm greatful for such posts.

If we were so determined to stop the torture and killing for the wellbeing of other species, why don't we kill all the tigers so they will stop killing deer? What makes us feel that we have to defend the rights of some animals and not others?

Definitely. The greatest concern is that if we do not respect the lives of animals in general, then we're more likely to disrespect the lives of human beings as well. Killing life is a similar concept, whatever one is killing.

I know that in survival situations killing may become necessary to save oneself, but that should only be the very last resort or for self-defense.
