no that will never increase 5 mph neveeer, if so nobody had any velocity problems, plus is very hard to change mechanics. also you cant push harder just by thinking harder, you have to do something else like weight room plyometrics or some other exercises. what this kid needs is a strength training program so he can be stronger and push harder.
Hard to say by just watching your motion to the plate. I would say try to get a little more explosive to the plate. That will come with time and training. Good luck. Enjoy playing ball, because you will miss it when it's gone.
I love how people try to give pitching mechanics tips on youtube comments...i also love how people brag about how hard they throw.."Im 14 and i throw 80"...who gives a shit!!!
dude im 14 now and im throwin 80 i suggest making your stride longer by about a foot u may be wild at first but trust me it is the easiest way to gain more velocity
BULLSHIT!!!!!!! are you closer to 15 or 14. and it doesnt matter how fast you throw. you can throw 100 mph and not be accurate at all it wont matter how fast you throw if your not consistent hitting your spots i myself am 13 going on 14 and i was clocked 68-74 and i hit my spots every single time. yesterday i pitched 4 innings 11 k's no hits. but you are right about the leg stride nice tip!
Your release point is way to high...u need to work on release jst a lil later and keeping ur glove by ur chest area pointing towards the batter other then that good job with the legs and the follow through!!!
I really like your mechanics. You'll make minor adjustments the older you get, but you have a hell of a foundation to work from. Just maintain the same motion regardless of the pitch you throw. Again, good mechanics.
Glove hand stretches towards the batter, then when the front foot lands, tuck, and fall towards the glove with body--throwing hand stretching out towards the catcher's glove, then slapping the outsidr of your lead leg's knee--ending body parallel to the ground.
watch will u hav the slow windup, u bring ur toes towards the second base bag and u are unbalanced and it looks like it might be making u release the ball a little high...it looked like u were maybe overthrowin a bit....give me a call when u arent playin sometime...im comin home this weekend...
yeah i agree with whipping ur glove hand more and also try and not bend ur foot back when u lift up ur leg and alos make sure not to land on ur heel when u step try landing on ur toes gives u more velocity and accuracy
ummm if you whip your glove hand more and pull it down harder you could getbetter velocity. Also work on a slide step. if you life your leg up that high on your stretch, people will be stealing all day long.
Simply put very bad mechanics

i got 2 tips for u
1. push off the rubber harder, this will increase velocity because u r getting more push forward
2. take a longer stride because with the added pushing off the rubber harder this will increase velocity by like 5 if u combine both
hope that helps

everything looks good but some of the pitches look like they're coming in a little high

looks odd for some reason.. i think you should whip your glove hand a lil more to get better speed.

hahah thats funny u pitch exactly like i do and have the exact same problems...keep ur glove hand up, and dont lean back with ur body
