  • well done. do you feel this bass is too long / have neck diving when playing live or in band practice? might consider this bass

  • do you like the bass? i gonna buy it and i just wanna know how it is

  • @natrockskate its a cool bass, easy to play. lots of tone variations.

  • i think u need to practise your right hand technique stay closer with ur fingers at the strings so u dont waste too much energy in single tones

  • As I have read you play the GS305. Have you tried the GSR205 too?

Could you also tell me, how good the SR305 is. I am not sure which one i shall buy.

  • No I haven't. I would go A/B test the two of them at the store to make my descision.

  • the problem is, that the musicstore i prefer is nearly 200KM away from me in cologne

  • Check out their site, it had the neck profile, which sold me over other basses, and tone. Very wide range, from a jaco's jazz to geddy's ric, to Geddy's wal to a modern tone

  • I was at an other store and this bass is more than great.

  • @bl2112 Sweet, those are like the only three tones I ever try imitate with my grs200. I am writing that down, I'm buying a new bass this summer thanks!!

  • Really nice played!

  • i play in a metal band, and my little first act bass that has 16 frets and 4 strings, isnt workin for the songs were wanna do, so i figured a 5 string with normal amount of frets would get betr tonal range, would this fit the bill?

  • Depends on what your "normal" amount is frets. I play a 24 fret bass, but there isn't alot of difference between that and a 20,21,22 fret bass. Unless you plan on playing alot of bass solos high on the neck. And A 5 string gives you 5 notes below the E. All depends on what you want.

  • Hey bro nice cover but I have a quick question for you. I have owned this bass for about a month and a half now and m question to you is.... Have you ever had any problems where your bridge would lower which would cause it to lower? If so, how do you fix this? I have tightened the bridge with an allen wrench but the bridge continues to drop.

  • Hey man! This bass is obviously really great to play rush stuff with, but i was wondering, is it ok for heavier stuff aswell? Like sepultura/Soulfly/ektomorf stuff?

  • hey friend can you talk me about the bass? slap..i wanna see slap in this bass....i thinkin buy one too

  • very classic man, keep up the work, it's great

  • That was the bass I wanted but didn't have the extra cash for the fm verison. No regrets tho about this bass at all.

  • About the tone since this is a rush song....

I can vary the tone to sound dead on to almost all the rush albums. I was looking for a bass and just picked it off the rack and haven't put it back since.

  • yeah...really cool bass

ive got the same one in moon shadow

and dude...it looks feels and sounds amazing...go get one lol

  • It sounds and feels great. I just played one the other day and it sold me. I've been wanting a Soundgear 4 a while, but I playeed this one and it was just like "Oh my god, YES!!!" LOL! I really like the sound u get while slapping it, it's a very Pig Benis-like sound. I was playing The New Cult King and it sounded exactly like the album version.

  • easy on that thing man...its too precious..ur torturing it.lol.btw nice cover.

  • wow 1,155 views!!!! thats pretty kool

  • im getting this bass in may i cant wait!

  • Nice job man... sr 305?

  • Good job!

  • dam i cant wait 2 get mine

  • dude what playing technique is that? sounds awesome! oh and that bass is definetly the next one i'm buying...

  • It's a finger flutter techinque. It's the same thing Geddy does. Which is where I got it from.

  • what amp strings andequalization do you use?

    plz answer

    nice cover btw

  • Blue Steel Med Lites 45-105

Eq on the is weird. The Master volume is all the way open, Pickup balance is even (even amounts of neck and bridge), slap-finger style is all slap and Treble and bass boost cut is flat.

    Amp

    Master 7, Style 2 Bass 6, Mid 7, Treble 6-7

  • thx

  • really well played... don't like the song.. but you sure can play.

BTW i have the same bass... sounds awsome

  • that was pretty good ^^ i agree with andii lol...
