I heard the version w/o drums on the nuggets CD and soon realized that the guitar used was either out of tune slightly or was very very very cheap. Even with that noticeable trouble, I grew to quickly love this song. I do like this version better. The guitar is not at all too noticeable.
this version has the great psychedelic guitar leads that the nuggets version lacks.. but the nuggets version (even w/o drums) is still great, it's just a truly great tune no matter what version you listen to..
The original version was SUPPOSED to have drums, but, because of some mixing problems, it was left out of the final recording--much to the chagrin of the band! They were rather angry about it--and, when the song was included on the Nuggets CD compilation a few years back--without drums, again--the surviving members weren't too thrilled about THAT, either. However (either way) it is still a unique song of youthful exuberance from the Chi-Town NW suburb of Crystal Lake, IL!

Nice, but I think the original without drums is better. This is a cool rock song, and missing the drums makes it unique!
