This flute player and I are the only ppl who actually take music seriously and want to pursue it as a career. we both even made the Atlanta symphony youth orchestra, and atlanta youth wind symphony, so you could only imagine how boring it is in the band room. Playing with ppl who are no where ob your level =/.

Right now we're practicing for our winter concert, which will decide what grade music we will play for UIL, and it isn't looking too good. I'm basicly doing a solo because the other people cant play this music (its like only a grade 3) and it kinda stinks. I'm not considering music to be a choice for my career, but with the level that we're at, its not really that fun anymore..

Bach are good. I have a small Getzen (like really small 1950's version) that actually plays very well. My larger (with a trigger) is an Edwards. I personally love the sound and the small ring of the bell. It really helps me develop my sound to be more bright an open.

im in year 10. i had a bach student model so i thought a pro would do the trick. i played them and didnt like them. it ended up being between a conn 88 with *lumberg* rotor (not sure how to spell it) or a schilke st-20 with an axial flow valve. went with the schilke.
