  • Misquotes happen all of the time. Every newspaper has a section for corrections.

  • It's just another example of how theists demonize what they perceive as the "authority" behind evolution, in an effort to demonize the whole process. They think it's what atheists are trying to do, that atheists denying a divine creator means that they are also denying everything that came about from theistic belief. Some beautiful things have come from theism (music, art, charity), and though misguided in their authority, are valuable in and of themselves.

Oh, and reality -is- harsh. Cope.

  • wow, this seems like an honest mistake to me. Was it really worth making a whole Youtube video?

  • Keep trying to make mountains out of mole hills.

  • Heh cool video although the music was a little bit cheesy :P.

  • Yeah, that song was maybe a little too obvious.

  • Discovery Institute likes to misquote or incorrectly attribute quotes to Charles Darwin. Why don't they just give up.

  • Creationism:

Never let the truth get in the way of a good story.

  • "You know me, never let the truth get in the way of a good yarn"

    -Chopper

  • Creationism:

Because reading one book is a lot easier than reading a whole bunch of hard one.

  • OH MY GOD! The Discovery Institute actually tells lies, twists the truth, quote mines and makes fallacious assertions??? This. Changes. Everything.

How about telling us something new? :P

  • Discovery Institute exposed once again.

    Great video.

  • It is not like creationist have ever left the truth get in the way of their beliefs in the first place.

  • Man even I could tell that that isn't Darwin ...

  • Yeah, I also recognized the Dawkins quote right away. BTW, was that Dawkins reading Darwin at the end? It sure sounded like him.

  • Yes, it is Dawkins reading that quote. It adds a sense of irony, doesn't it?

  • I smiled. Savour the Irony.

  • Yeah it's Dawkins. The irony is pretty sweet.
