  • wow hi love the little poem gonna post it on FB, anyways jupitor is up in the sky here in canada, it will be here for the next month than not till 2022 ^_^

  • i love our solar system it rules:)

  • HAHA POPLE SAY ITS NIBURU

  • @naruto7482 lolol i now xD

  • It's actually Jupiter

  • uranus and jupiter

  • in late December and early January mars will be at it's brightest, second only to Venus.

  • it's JUPITER, it's the brightest body in the sky on August and September of 2009 as it is relatively close to Earth's orbit, Venus is only brighter for a couple of hours at sunset and sunrise. Mars and Saturn are a lot fainter and will only look a bit brighter than most of the stars in the night sky this month.

  • I've seen this in the sky for over a year now. It is indeed a planet. I thought it might be Jupiter because Venus drops out of sight after dark, and mars is indeed reddish, however... Jupiter is fairly faint and (in the northern/western hemisphere fairly overhead.

  • I just saw that tonight except it was closer to the moon. my sister said it was Mars.

  • Yea saw it here too, was trying to find a posted video but nothing yet, a closeup would show if it was jupiter or mars.

  • maybe it was some other planet behind moon but the lkight was destorted so it looked like it touched the moon. or maybe it was just an asteroide...

  • it was the international space station or venus maybe jupiter was pretty bright in the early sky this time last year

  • which planet you idiot appart from earth theres 8 its not pluto that leaves 7

  • eeeh wtf? 1:04 ... it moves like 1 light year in 1 second or so, how is that possible? lol.

  • It happens almost everyday!! everyday there is a different planet!!

  • VENUS OR JUPITER THEM TWO 100%

  • It's mars

  • Which planet was it!??? He never says!

  • i will be twenty two the next time i see this

  • when does it happen?

  • August 13th 2008 :D

  • the planets are jupitor and venus

  • The next time ill see it i'm 30

  • thats cool. what planet is it

  • watch?v=OkiV3WzWW50

  • coool dude!! :]

  • Raoul, have you seen what is happening in the Southwestern part of the sky this week. Jupiter and Venus are aligning and by Sunday and Monday Night (after Thanksgiving) a cresent moon will join them.

  • Thanks for the heads up!

    Cheers!

    Cool beans!

  • I love ur voice, man. Had to come back and view, put in Fav's. Before shooting this response, I had just finished a project under the sink, all sweaty, sorry

Yuck. Lovin your camera too. These shots are so hard with my Panasonic (mini-cam) AV100. My 1st shuttle flyover vid, I had to lay on the ground, trying to frame two moving objects in tandem. Uuugh! pretty bad, one of my very 1st posts.

  • That's so cool!!!

Just so you know, Aquarius is by James Rado and Gerome Ragni (lyrics) and Galt MacDermot (music) from the Rock Musical, Hair. Fifth Dimension covered it. :)

  • Thanks, Toni!

One of the video responses shows that song!

    Fantastic!

    Cheers!

    =^)

  • I told all my friends about this - they all saw it too.

  • That's great!

    Good onya!

  • Tonight the planet will be on top and not the bottom like last night...

    Cheers!

  • Hi Man, I had a look out the window at work here in Melbourne at 4am and the moon hadn't set yet, and I could see Jupiter as well.

  • G'day, Nick!

The closest pass of Jupiter to the Moon was about Midnight last night. Good you saw it at dawn...

Tonight you can still see it, but it would be so far away from the Moon. It will be the brightest object after the Moon, and the Zenith will be about 11pm.

    Cheers, mate!

  • Cool, yeah I saw it at midnight when I got work. I got up at 10pm and saw your video and read your comment that you posted at 8pm saying the moon would set in 2 hours so I wasn't expecting to see the moon.

  • dam i missed it! YASHRN!!

  • Aaaaw!

    Understandable!

It was so cold in 'Berra last night!

    YASHRN!

    =^)

  • You can still see it tonight, Kath!

The planet will be on top now...

    YASHRN!

  • wow, we will look tonight thanks... Bernie.

  • Not gonna be the same tonight, as Jupiter will be far away from the moon, but you can still see it with the naked eye. It will be the brightest object after the moon...

The apex will be around midnight.

    Cool beans, gang!

    =^)

  • shweet

  • Thanks, bud!

    =^)

  • Wow , haven't seen that before, thanks for sharing, A.D. :))

  • Right-y-O!

  • Good Morning, Raoul

  • G'day mate!

Would have been nice viewing in Denver with clear skies! Did you see it?

  • No, dang it. In passing by the shades I saw the moon was high and bright, last night but I didn't look.

  • Wow, Jupiter! It is usually Mars. Jupiter is much nicer on the Zodiac. Thanks for this. The moon looks spooky over Sydney. I black haze over the top of it. But I saw it over the Bridge. I dunno it it's worth a shot, you can take my word for it. My camera doesn't zoom very well. Blessings +^+^+ The Saint

  • Good onya, mate!

    =^)

  • Awe I don't think that was visible from the states?

  • As long as you can see the moon that night, then, yes you can, Richo!
