is this a live axle? also, the tires aren't exactly what you'd want to drift on. not enough stability in the sidewall or traction pad. you had it for a minute, but as soon as that left rear tire bent over itself, it just catapulted you. lol

FYI i think you'll find this go kart has too high a centre of gravity, the seat should be at most 10cm from the ground to have a gd enough chance of not falling over

and I would have put the engine in the back so that more weight is on the back and it looks like you need to extend the steering wheel a bit more so you can sit all the way back

I really have no idea how much it all cost. Prob a bit over 1000. There was way more time put into it then money. Find a wrecked snowmobile to start from and that will help keep the cost down quite a bit. I custom made everything. I still need to fix it.. I need a new torch and welder.

You just have to look around for someone who has a totaled snowmobile with a working engine and transmission. Then rip it apart and start from there. If I were to do this again I'd use a crotch rocket engine.

yes it held.. not bad for a first cage for a young kid, im sure your next one will be better. more gussets, and get some sort of arm and leg restraints, your arms were almost broke when they were flying arround "you were lucky" and when you get seated you can tell that it would be easy for your feet/legs to come out. Like I said I like the idea.... just not the way you did it....good luck man
