GH 11.11.02 - Liz has found out Jason married Brenda

It's interesting how GH now glosses over that Liz and Zander had a good relationship until Liz revealed that she was pregnant by him and they confided in each other. I have never understood the appeal of Liason, I didn't like Liz with Ric and her relationship with Lucky has been dead in the romantic sense for years. ZIZ was the only Liz pairing I could get excited about until Liz and Nikolas fell in love (NIZ is my all time favorite Liz pairing).

People need to see this to realize that Liz did not break things off with Jason because she couldn't accept Jason's life. She broke things off because of his lie, being shut out and ignored while he spent all his time with Courtney.

I'm not sure I understand. Isn't being lied to, shut out and ignored part of accepting Jason's life? Or do you mean it wasn't the violence that bothered her?

I think it was the violence and the danger that she accepted as part of his life. She has said that lots of things are dangerous, so she was willing to take the risk to be with him. She couldn't, however, accept being lied to. Jason had told her before that he had never lied to her(true at the time), and they had had a couple of instances that she didn't believe him at first even though he told the truth. It had taken her awhile to trust him, so him lying to her was kinda big to her.

If I remember correctly, Liz once said "Your world is so twisted, it ruins every good thing it touches."

Jason had to do what he had to do to protect the people around him. It isn't his fault that Liz was all up in arms because he didn't tell her about Sonny. That is a part of Jason's life, to keep secrets and have things he can't talk about. If she couldn't accept the way Jason kept things secret, then it means she couldn't accept his life.

I love Jason, but it is his fault (not solely) because he said he wouldn't lie to her. He tried not to lie to her by staying away from his PH where she was staying at the time, but that only caused more problems in the end. Keeping secrets, like where Sonny was hiding, is one thing. Lying, like saying Sonny is dead when he clearly wasn't, is another thing. And it's not like Liz hadn't proven herself before to both Jason and Sonny, so they DID know they could trust her. They just chose not to.

And you are correct that Liz once said that "your world is twisted" line, but she said that sometime after this when she had already married and left Ric because he kidnapped Carly. Jason pretended to kill Ric, Liz saw, and Jason brought her back to the PH only for her to find out Ric was still alive. She then said the line to Jason, turned to Courtney, and said something about Courtney getting out before it was too late.

Doesn't change the fact that Liz still and never will accept the danger and every secret that comes with Jason's life. She just doesn't get "the world" Sonny and Jason live in.

And no, it is not Jason's fault that the lie about Sonny happened. And honestly, even Mike, Bobbie , and Courtney didn't know, so what made Liz think she had more right to know the truth that was obviously only kept between Carly, Jason, and Sonny. The world doesn't revolve around her unfortunately.
