Absolut justice was awesome. I understand that CW has got low budget for special effect or cotumes. But I think the moste important is the iconographic of heroes and plot. I like it very much. I hear that WB won't allow to do another movie of superman because of the heirs of original writers of superman comics. They didn't allow to make anoter movie

It is not that they won't allow a movie, it is the spitting of royalties going to the orignal creators' families. And I believe greedy hollywood is racing against time to make a movie before this becomes into effect... which to me says a rush job on a theatrical release...and to me a messed up Superman movie that will flop...I say leave it alone, I don't care about a movie, I have Smallville and Tom Welling. I just appreciate all the staff, writers, producers, creators of the show!!!

well in the comics the original Black Canary that was on the JSA was the current Black Canary's mother both with the same name (the middle names were different).

Not sure if that continues with Smallville stuff tho :S

yes it is still "Smallville", the separate episodes are called:

Episode #9-11: "Society"

Episode #9-12: "Legends"

together they are called "Absolute Justice"

its not a spin off, it was originally going to be just 2 episodes but they instead made it a 2 hour TV movie.

There are currently no spin-offs for Smallville :(

The Superman mythology has changed, greatly.

The producers love playing with the mythology, but when it comes to the crunch (i.e. getting the Superman persona across) they just can't bring themselves to do the decent thing and end Smallville on a high.

Smallville will get to season 10 and will end when the rating plummet, not when the producers actually write an ending for the show. It's sad really, because up to season 5/6 Smallville was excellent.

season 8 was awesome......aside from the last episode, and season 9 is going extremely well for many many comic fans, I hope season 9 ends with Clark becoming Superman and season 10 just shows up his first year as Superman and then it ends

Season 8's finale was terrible (though I hated how they had Doomsday F'd from the start), but your right, season 9 is going great. I think of Smallville as an Elseworlds tale and then it makes more sense.

Yeah JayJay, either one works. It's not DCU canon obviously. But that doesn't disappoint me because I don't expect it to be anymore. I used to not like when they would screw up a character, but then I changed my view and took it as a standalone different take on the Superman mythos (like we said, Elseworlds or one of the multiverse planets)

actually ratings didn't drop and season 8 was really high this and season 7 are the only failures but season 9's ratngs are climgbing back so it really isn't a failure.You don't get it though he still hasn't gotten to a point where he can make that decesion.

I can't make out everyone in the painting on the right side. Now, I think from left to right there are 14 members. Is is Star Spangled Kid, Wildcat, Atom, Sandman, Spectre, Flash, Hawkman, Hawkgirl, Dr. Fate, (Can't tell), Hourman(?), Green Lantern(?), Dr. Midnite? Mr. Terrific?, Fair Play. What do the rest of you see, or what errors have I made? Just like the Legion episode, this could be the standout episode of the entire run of Smallville. Geoff Johns is a god, I hope he stays put at DC.

sounds about right, and I agree Geoff Johns does simply amazing work, loving Blackest Night & Superman Secret Origins :) If Absolute Justice is as good as its being hyped up for Geoff should start working on some movies for DC/WB :) now that would be awesome

It's my understanding that Johns has delivered a screen treatment to Warners for 'Shazam'. He is the one character I would like to see Johns do. I would give Strazynski Green Lantern, keep him on Flash, keep Robinson on Superman, and hire Millar to do Action Comics. Greg Rucka should handle Batman till that day comes that Brian Bendis decides to either bolt Marvel or does not remain exclusive.

I like Geoff On Green Lantern, he's the reason GL is now in my top 5 favorites.

I also love what he's doing for Superman Secret Origins.

For Batman, while sometime its hard to understand I do actually like Morrison's work.

I haven't heard anything about Shazam aside from it being on hold :(

this is the smallville equivalent of JLA... if he's there at all why would we only see a ring!? it wouldn't be worth the writer's comission to add a scene or 2 with the lantern's hand... fair enough if it was in some build up episodes but this is the feature length TV movie... he's in it for sho and i personally can't wait for some projected hand choke slams and stuff
