Personally, I always seek to unravel the mysteries of the universe in concert with our cosmological via Youtube disquisitions predicated on lyrics extrapolated from a song.
See everything is okay people, Burton explored and reunited with his old friend and came back with one of the best Fear Factory albums ever! An artist has to keep his mind open!
No matter what Burton C Bell does he will always be a great music artist and always respected by me and anyone who knows what he's about. Any music artist thats not afraid to think outside the box has my support.,
For people thinking this is about him being religious or searching for ancestry, your wrong.
The message of this is still the same fear factory, but from the other perspective. This is still about freemasonry and the Illuminati, but this is more of hope rather than anger.
@dano555666 Yeah, I think saying anyone else' interpretation is wrong and that yours is right is kinda jacked man. And while I think it's good for you to give it whatever meaning you want, here is a quote from Bell himself that pretty much states clearly what the lyrics are about, "Lyrically, I wanted to explore the true nature of my soul, the place where my heart was headed.” .. Don't see much Illuminati stuff in that.
@dano555666 Also, look up the definition for the word numinous (album is called Numinosum) "Numinous is an English adjective describing the power or presence of a divinity".
@gblcarvalho94 I don't know why you bother asking, since the lyrics are pretty clear. And Fear Factory never sang about the Freemasons or the Illuminati, just about the rise of technological dependence, sentient machines, and the breaking point of humanity. They've made this clear time and time again.
I'm not sure if anyone else notices, but the frame I used at 3:39 to 4:07, coupled with the "Film Age - Old" effect, really makes the clouds look like they're moving a little bit, almost like mist does.
A similar effect happens on the water with the frame at 1:41 to 2:10, it looks like the light on the water is actually refracting.
I feel happy for Burton as a person, for what I listen he may feel and be a wholer, happy and better person and that is great and should go for every human being.
I love the pictures you have used in this video. Don't care for the singer too much. (Ooops. Sorry. I know there are fans.) The music is too repetitive to suit my taste and it's too loud for me to hear the singer. Guess my ears are too old for it. But I love the video.
Ive been a big FF, but I listen to all types of music, and I really like this band. Excellent move for the dudes in the band, great song, I have a lot of fun playing bass to it.
Yeah, wouldn't want a necroperv defiling your body even after you're killed. :P
Anyway, Burton's clearly on the right direction when it comes to his vocals here. He's done plenty of other great vocals, all of them for FF (my favorite band ever), but he can only get better. It's odd that you need to have this song turned up a fair amount to truly appreciate it; the effect just isn't there at any lower volume.
@Dano555666 this is nothing like the songs FF writes This is something personal

You're wrong for trying to define the meaning of this song for everyone. I simply take it as a monologue on existentialism.
Mythosician06 1 year ago 7
I would say the exact same thing, to be quite frank. Monologue on existentialism seems to hit the nail right on the head.

Very good music, Burt C. is one of the best vocalists! This is very light music, but not a faggoth style.

Despite whatever derogatory label this music may be given, it's still good music.
