Removal of the attack damage range and implementation of a constant attack damage, different fog mechanics etc greatly diminishes the luck factor of the game. And most people play DotA in hopes of performing a wodota move, yet I don't really see these kind of scenes in The International which really worries me. Having played Dota 2, what do you feel about this luck factor in Dota 2 as compared to in DotA?

Hey dota2cast, got a question unrelated to the gameplay but rather to the client.

We've seen that there are 3 regions. NA, EU and CN.

Question 1: How are the pings? I assume you're from NA so are you able to play with people from EU or CN without lagging?

Question 2: Are the regions split up even further? E.G. for EU is there France, Russia, England region?

@xxwatermanxx Dota2 uses a sever based system so what's important is your ping to the server. If you enable matchmaking for North America your saying that you want to paired with people that can play on North American servers. If you enable EU and CN then you will pay in those regions. Depending on your location and internet connection you may get lag but people have played lag free in North America with Australian players.

@0o0ollo0o0 I'm not even in beta, but I assure you there is voice support as all valve games have. And there is recommended items, as someone already leaked that screenshot. And they said you can edit the recomended.txt file for each heroe without a problem.

@MrAshot83 he's not exactly useless during the day, but you shouldn't expect him to do all his jazz during the day. He's usually farming in lanes or the jungle in the day. Or using his ult so he can help his team gank or push.

There have been posted soundtracks of some heroes in Dota2. They can be found on youtube: dota2sounds. From those soundtracks i noticed that admiral proudmore is there, juggernaut, warlock and 1 more, so i want to ask you since you are in the beta, are they implemented in-game, and if they are, whats the time ratio of Valve when it comes to implementing heroes ?

Just to inform you, that dude who showed the Dota 2 UI client, he is NOT in the beta. He has a torrented version of the Dota 2 beta client which allowed him to move around through the menus but he is NOT able to join games or even make his own game. I hope what I just said clears everything up.

My question is since you obviously have played DotA, and HoN before in Dota 2 has the movement of the heroes and attack animations feel like they have been smoothed out now that they are on a new engine? What I mean is if you play DotA then switch to HoN you'll notice HoN feels much smoother where as DotA feels kind of clunky compared is this still a problem in Dota 2, it's most likely not just wondering though.
