The Outfield wasn't a great band, but they were fun to listen to. Simple music and easy to sing to. But of all the albums/cd's they put out, the cd that this song came from is by far my favorite. It was their third album called "Voices of Babylon". Now you have to understand that for the Outfield, this was actually a great album. It was raw and a little edgey. Hope you all enjoy...

@leftdust Totally agree with you. Voices is a good song, but I was a little let down when I heard it as their lead single from this album. That's why I was so pleasantly surprised when I heard My Paradise. Usually the second single isn't this much more superior than the first.

@frodo2734 Whomever the A&R guy was for Columbia he totally dropped the ball on this LP - you release this first - it goes Top 10 - then 'Voices' comes along and hits about where it did originally - Top 30 or so. This is pure unadulterated pop rock that should have been blaring from car speakers across the country in the summer of '89.
