  • WOW...that is gorgeous. FORD!!!

  • Beautiful car with a nice and responsive power plant in the engine bay. Is that by, chance - some GOJIRA that I hear in the background? GOOD choice in music! ;)

  • whoever did the music soundtrack oughta be shot in the ass..

  • @watsbronc1 their is music in the back round

  • so when you rev it, heavy metal comes from the exhaust? awesome

  • what kind of cam are you running in that thing? Love that long duration lope!

  • sweet jeebus !!! is that a kaase motor?

  • just barely got it to crank, awesome

  • Hey man what's up? Want to be friends, go get some drinks or something?

Haha, maybe take your Fairlane out :-).

  • @mrtheroosterdude

Beer+Fairlane with stroker= car and the people in it dead, lol.

  • @79fordblake Lol, not at the same time....

  • Carb is custom from BIGGS. Has blue anodized blocks and gloss black powder coat bowls and main body. Great carb.

  • black carb? buy it like that or custom?

  • That is the best thing i have ever seen ever.

  • Nice Fairlane! I got a 66 Fairlane 500 2 door hardtop to match my 66 F100. I'm still looking for ideas for mine. I'm hoping I can EVENTUALLY get a 428 for it. My bro has a 67 GTA with a 428. It was a 390 car originally.

  • I have a 69 Ford Fairlane Formal Roof, and i wanna know what i need to do to get my 460 big block in her. I know that through 66-69, they were pretty similar, any help would be great. I know i am prob gonna have to get the Crites mounts and headers right?

  • Yes crites would be your best bet. I have a motor plate and a mid-plate.

  • Damn nice car!

  • hey capital it the jersey guywith the fairlane you wanted to see the beast scoobycobra on youtube got it to a 9.20 1.23 sixty at 145 i should be 8.80 with my new 2x4 intake

  • NOTHING sweeter than a solid lifter BIG BLOCK!........;)

  • Bad-ass big block Ford with Gorjira playing warm up? NOW THAT"S METAL!!!!!

If you don't think that's metal, then your metal detector is fucked up!

  • \m/

  • What color is this car

  • Lapis Blue base with Candy Purple on top. Looks black at night.

  • Do you by any chance have paint #s for these colors? Also is the base color ,clear coated then followed by the candy purple and then cleared again?

  • House of Color Purple Kandy #UK-10

  • Thanks capitalcruisin , my 1st car was a 66 fairlane 289 cops made me sell due too tickets and harassment . Had 2 67's after that wish I would just have kept one. I have a built 460 that needs a home ,after I finish this 70 mach1 ,I might just hunt down a fairlane. Yours has rekindled the fire, you have one beautiful car there, will keep in touch, thanks again.

  • come on capital my 67 wants to whop on some chevys

  • So go ahead, who is stopping you...not the Chevies I hope LOL!

  • Where is prostreet.. ? i like to see it sometime. is it here in indy?

  • East Coast ....

  • So is it possible to fit a 460 with a decent intake under a stock 66-67 hood? I'd like to put one in my '66 500, and I want to keep the sleeper look if possible (not that they won't hear it coming ; ) By the way, did you use the long tubes from Crites, or did you fabricate your own? Just curious..

  • I have a Crites bubble hood on it. Don't think a stock hood will work if running the Victor intake.

  • Does the Victor intake have the shortest runners out of the intakes available for 460's?

  • SICK!!! i love it the music goes perrrfect with the vid!!

  • should upgrade the front suspension to a mustant II setup....at least you could pull plugs with engine installed...not much room from tower to tower

  • Towers are chopped. I can get to all the plugs, just have to take the valve covers off.

  • ooh okay, didnt notice....an old mustang trick...can also relocate the upper arm one in lower...in the mustang world the term for that is a shelby drop.... but yeah my dad was looking at buying a 66 with a 460. it was so tight they had the engine sitting on solid mounts so it would torque twist into the towers... was you car originally a big block car? they had a whole inch added to the distance from tower to tower

  • originally was a smallblock car

  • Or better yet wire in an ignition switch and let the motor whip over before you hit the switch and fire it up. If you have an MSD then its the small red wire you want to wire through the switch. Past that the car sounds sweet...

  • Yes Great Band I Love Gojira!!!!

    STAY METAL BROTHER!!!!

    Nice ride by the way!

  • if he was my neighbor i would love him! just for his car HAHA! my neighbors hate my grandpa because we have been fixing up a 1964 ford galaxie 500 for 3 years its done! just needs paint then its my first car =]

  • death metal and a thumpin big block. the neighbors must love you. excellent!

  • HAHA your listening to Gojira, "from the sky' BADASS BROTHER \m/

  • Yep, Gojira from France! Have you heard the new album? Another cool band is Septicflesh from Greece. Go listen to the song "Communion". Killer stuff!

  • WHO NEEDS A RADIO WITH THAT THUMPER!

  • sweet car man

  • fat

  • HAHA! yea its a 289 that took too many steriods!

  • got it from west coast completly redid whole drive train 4.5 big bore block 4.3 strok kaase p-51 heads and the list goes on all with amere 920hp on the dyno

  • Yep that's 547.1 cubes! Did you use a stock block or the A460? Are you on the 460 board? You must be running a big roller cam and some compression to get 920 hp. So lets see this beast, post a video! :-)

  • got to learn how to post a vid yea it a ford motorsport racing block 14 to 1 760 lift roller and it wants to have a play date with your 460 at the track lets see who wins

  • Yep, mine is an A460 block too. Play date huh? What's the matter, not enough Chevys to beat up on at Island LOL?

  • hey capital what kind of steering setup and headers 547 cub in mine if your on the east coast like me every weekend i am at island dragway 9.5 in the 1/4

  • Stock steering and modified Crites headers. So whose car did you end up buying? 547 huh? usually they are 545 or 557 kits. Post a video of the car you bought.

  • less music and more engine noise please

  • Sweet ride

  • Thanks. It is Candy Purple over Lapis Blue. It looks black at night until the lights hit it. It is a neat combo.

  • Yes it was House of Colors over a dark gray base glad to see this car on video looking and sound so sweet. I enjoyed painting this car for my brother and seeing so many people enjoyng it makes the hard work that much more rewarding hope to see more videos in the future!!!!!

  • Hey, tell Phil I said "Hi"! :-)

  • awesome car, dude!!!!!

  • theres nothing like a ford big block.

  • Any guy who doesn't get a woody over this is GAY!!!

  • very very nice, i'm a little jealous... what sort of a job was it wedging a 460 between those shock towers? i have a 68 torino (essentially the same body) and i'm having no luck with the FE, and the're expensive to build, just wondering about a 460...

  • You will need a C4 or a C6 for a 460 (bell for a 460 is different than for FE). Crites makes a motor mount and header kit to install a 460 into a Torino I believe. Do it!

    :-)

  • Now thats art.

  • Dynomax

  • bad ass toy....

  • Sounds real healthy and I love the color. Nice work.

  • Thanks

  • how much hp, and what size cam, head work, etc, done too it, got a 58 ford custom 300, been done with ifs, 460, 9 inch, etc, thinking about putting motor into the 47 intern. pu, want to build another!!!

  • The front motor plate? You can buy them from a number of vendors like CE, S&W Racecars, etc. Or you can make your own out of a 1/4" thick aluminum plate.

  • Very nice car. Ive got a 11 second 79 f100 with a 466 and a 150 shot. How big is the motor? BTW, whats the music in the background?

  • Music is a band called Gojira. Motor is a big A460 Stroker.

  • sounds like she barely started, like something was draining the battery, or that battery not very good?

  • Yeah, battery was low and I also had the timing a litle too advanced. First start and motor was still cold too.

  • Sweet Fairlane.Take all the shit off your car next video.

  • Very nice son!
