The girl is actually a dancer, she can't sing. One guy is a loser from Italy (didn't succeed there, but here he is exotic!!). I wish mainstream music artists would learn that image and lyrics alone do not fully portray a point. The music and the vocal delivery are huge too, but they always put more importance on the first two things.

Alestorm's version is much more fitting because the music fits the lyrics and the vocals really sound like they're being done by pirates.

In my very opinion, i believe this song is the 5th from the best in Eurovision 2008. (1st being Sweden Charlotte Perelli "Hero", 2nd Ukraine Ani Lorak "Shady Lady", 3rd being Armenia "Qele Qele", 4th being Greece Kalomira "Secret Combination", the performance done in Semi-Final).

I disagree with winner, though. Not because of politics, cuz of my hateness for Russia, of course, but i really didn't like Bilan's song. Really.
