  • this is really hilarious, and as an Arabic person, I would be offended by Joe's comments if I hadn't heard him say random racist things before. lol really interesting sense of humor, no white person here (in Canada) would ever even think of making that sort of joke. And I agree with that other person, you guys should do this again and do all sorts of other accents, if you you guys ever actually start makin vids again (u should)

  • I feel like a bit of an idiot-I remember not being able to tell the different between an aussie and a british accent when I was younger-but now I'm finally beginning to differentiate the two. After all these years, haha.

  • Seattle people would say "double vanilla latte with skim milk and cinamon sprinkles" Starbucks was started and has it's corporate headquarters there....FYI...I'm the nicest person in the world (:--)

  • your yorkshire accent was awefull

  • Hahahahahhaa, this video made me laugh. :]

Especially when you did the Texas accent, because that's where I'm from. Though I must say, I've yet to meet someone here who actually sounds like that. xD

    Good Video though. :]

  • i love the relationship you two have, its a great brotherly bond, which is awesome. never really see brothers have such a good relationship with such a large age gap. its nice to see.

  • 4:30 - 5:50

I am from yorkshire. I was very offended.

lol no it was actually really funny!!

but I don't think I talk like that, its usually the 30-50 year old men that sound like that.

  • Please do not be of the misapprehension that we think we are at all accurate. In fact we are rather shockingly cack-handed, inaccurate and stereotypical in our attempts at all accents!

  • is tom joe's dad???

  • COmmon misconception, but I would've had to be one of those freaky 13 year old dads.

  • I love how you tried to do a Texan accent and wound up doing a "Southern Plantation" accent that's so common in Hollywood movies but almost never heard here anymore. Hank Hill from King of the Hill's much more accurate.

Good to see Joe in a vid again. I miss his videos.

  • tom your accents are pretty impressive, though i think your yorksire one seems slightly off haha. joe, you need work :P

gee i was hoping for a chinese, indian and african accents somewhere, you and joe trying to pull those off would make me laugh too much.

  • We thought we might not, on account of it would be grossly offensivre. :)

  • haha fair enough, but i'm half chinese and i won't take offense at joking impersonation. lots of comedians use racial impersonations such as russel peters. its all casual racism, those who take it seriously should get a sense of humour!

  • Oooh-so am I :D I'm chinese/french canadian.

And I also love watching people do racial impersonations-and I agree-those who take it too seriously need to lighten up a bit.

  • ur NY accent sounded like an italian mobster from NYC lol

  • XD You guys are hilarious. Love your hat Joe. "Because Genie in Lamp, he will take soul." LMAO

  • I like the Australian accent it sounds a little Danish.

  • choice recording, good to see your brother is alive.

  • Elena down there is my bestie. Come to Portland, and we'll buy you a pizza!

Try and get in on a Saturday or Sunday if you can; the Saturday Market ("the nation's largest open-air crafts market") runs right to the Portland waterfront, and is probably the best display of the city's culture (and if you're lucky, you can buy an authentic hobo sign right as you step off the MAX train).

  • VooDoo Doughnuts is nearby, as well. If you're willing to wait in line for fifteen minutes or so, you can get your hands on a fantastic Memphis Mafia, Portland Creme or Butter Fingering. We've also got a lot of museums (art museums in particular) if that's your thing, or you can take the Willamette in a Jetboat.

If you're still looking for a Seattle accent, Amy Walker is Seattle-born and has some videos up.

    You two are awesome!

  • Oh my goodness. This is the funniest thing I've seen in forever!! You guys are so hilarious. :)

You should take a detour to Portland, OR when you're in Seattle.

  • I wouldn't take much convincing. Sell me.

  • Portland is a city of diverse cultures. There are a million things to see, the Rose Garden, the Saturday Market, the water front, etc. The people are welcoming and friendly.

  • That was awesome

  • london was pretty sweet, but yorkshire wouldn't blend in very well ;o)

your french is a bit german tom :oP

  • sorry for the misspelling and extra keys, no light @ base camp, and afew too many drinks 4 a spell check on part.

  • this was a fun video. for the ny accent, thanx for not making us sound too rude, as 4 dallas, i m there now and i think ur a little east. of tx. as for the seattle accent u were having too much fun, the best word to descibe seattle is meloncholy, and that comes thru in the speech. you guys have too much fun for america, we don't laugh nor do we smile. i came damn close to cracking one though will mwatching this, thanx

  • Thanks for the fine-tunings! Can you give me an example of the Seattle accent I can listen to? Most of my Seattle friends grew up in Anchorage and are a poor example...

  • i go into dallas thisw weekend, i plan on picking up a new camera, i am linked thru a sa.t link as i am really in the styx so it may be a little choppy.. i'd be glad to hough. my next contract is in seattle. so i have been there enough this year to add some insight. for ny try to google "the car guys" thry are a blast if you can find a podcast for the heavy accent alone.

  • My friend and I always talk in an french accent just to annoy every one around us

  • I don't understand how you can annoy everyone around you with french accent .Are you Russian ?

  • No we just do a really REALLY bad impersonation of a french accent just as a joke. Not to offend anyone but just for the amusement of one other.

  • tom-i have skype now---- scottie--2--hottie (named from my favorite WWE wrestler. We can do video there thru video calling.....talk to ya later mate--scott

  • I'm in hysterics!

Well worth watching the entire 10 minutes.

  • Travel broadens the mind & narrows the accent. Vocabulary is the fun challenge. Hooroo Bon Voyage Dong iwoti Arrivederci Adiós Namasté Laagan chock dii Lear heouy Xaatrek Alweda Salamat Jalan Tschüß und watch?v=XcYsO890YJY
  • Man this was funny, I don't really know what that French accent was, and Tom more Bayou than Texan, and what stands out in your NZ accents to me is the letter E in certain words. Damn I wish I had a video camera so I could give your accent a shot.

  • The world needs more accent-oriented podcasts. Danny and I can only do so much.

  • funny tom very funny--my boy and i were gonna do something like that in the "live from joes" american remake-with accents like you did about 'mic gamer'--but if i do it now--it will 2nd rate to yours with Joe---damn it Jim....guess we will have to spoof um.... the two of you bloakes...that should be hard but do able.....looking forward to re-writing this script--peace to you and your family again-how are the consulate visits going?

  • I strongly urge you to do something with accents! It is always interesting to see what Americans make of ours.

I've been researching videoing skype calls. Nothing yet. :(

  • awesome

  • I guess this is one of the best LiveFromJoe's videos.....or should that be LiveFromTom's?

  • you two are utterly hilarious when you're intoxicated.

  • We've never done a joint intoxicated video!

  • Mabe you should? ;-)

  • xxxx and Fosters are both horrible beers.. apart from that your australian impression was embarrassingly accurate...

Although the NZ equivalent of the aussie ocker accent is also terrible... we can agree on that can't we?

  • Nice Performance Guys, Frivolitom's Louisiana voice could get Him casted in the upcoming "Salton Sea" Bayou Edition. Could work well with Val Kilmer. Joes Straight Man schtick is, in My opinion, damn near ready for Prime Time. Please keep 'Em coming ....John

  • Ehh Joe which part of Aus are you going to? Would really love to meet you.

  • haha ive defintally lived in new york my whole life, i dont have that accent =p

  • great show:

i'm not a native english speaker and my english sounds more like schwarzenegger, but

your texan sounded not very texan to me, i think they talk more without opening there theeth

the new yorken was more on the bronx side, like joe pesci-

i was missing the german one, but for a funny commercial search for : berlitz german coast guard

i don't know if it's that funny, when you're a native english speaker...

  • lmao you to are amazingly funny XD

    kewl video

and have fun on your trips to france la texas yorkshire wherever else lol

  • you guys are so funny .

you should do more vids together.

  • FIRST!

  • Joe almost didn't want to stop doing the Australian accent, it's so much fun :)

Tom edited out the description of whatever the businessman did, must have been worrying..

London accent not very different from NZ? Hmmmm you have some surprises in store :)

The "French" accent had a bit of Yorkshire in it too.

"sitting on my porch eating a tub of butter" lol

  • It's long time ago that I hated that 10 minutes limit more than just now. Tom, your laugh is most catching! :D

Have a nice trip, Joe and Tom!

  • Very offended by the TEXAS bit. We do not taaalk liiike Thhaat heeeirr.

  • No, I am terrible at that voice. :(

  • I have some friends that live in Yorkshire that I am going to run this by....lol...see what they think..

  • Definitely Louisiana Bayou accent more than Texan. The texans don't talk that much.. but bring a big hat.

  • To blend in with the locals in Yorkshire you must exclaim....."Ow mooch?"... when buying anything. When in London you are not alone but on your Jack Jones. Cockney roymin' slang innit.

  • This was the most amusing thing i have seen in a long while

  • you remind me of that one guy on the mighty boosh

you will know who i am talking about if you see it

  • Tom was your last accent supposed to sound like Mo the Bartender from the Simpsons?

Also I loved your Northern / Welsh hybrid!

  • That was hilarious!!!

poor Joe kinda sucked :) on the other hand Tom did a pretty job although you must remember that not only is the accent a key element but also the words that are used and colloquialisms.

Lolz, I wasn't offended in this video but you dedicated a whole intro a while back to the mexican stereotype so i'm not complaining!!

i have so many questions. maybe i'll send you an email.

    -when do you leave NZ?

-how long will you guys be traveling?

    damn word limiter...

  • I did actually talk a bit about the Mexican stereotype and we discussed Speedy Gonzalez and the stereotypical penultimate-termination thing white people do when they're doing a Mexican accent. But it was almost as bad as the cut part where Joe mentioned he'd be travelling through Asia. Almost.

  • yea, i figured since the video lasted 10 min flat that you had to cut out a lot of stuff to fit in the "better" impression.

that reminds me, a fyear ago( maybe more) in Mexican newspapers there would appear a black gringo cartoon that was quite funny. Bush said that it's an insult to the american people. Pres. Fox said "dude you guys have had Speedy Gonzalez for years now and we never complain. that was the last time that subject was brought forth by bush.

  • LOL there not all terrorists... only about 20%

  • Wikipedia entry on the Arab Emirates:

    "Population (2006 census): 4,621,399"

    Gulf News article on terrorism:

"For the intentions of this column, I am going to assume that the sum total of all (loosely defined) terrorists worldwide, stands at 500,000. This is not a real number, and the actual figure probably hovers around 50,000"

So even if all the terrorists in the world, in the most liberal estimation of the term, all lived in the Arab Emirates, it would be less than 2% of the population.

  • This reminds me that I do have to watch more movies in the undubbed version.

Very funny accents. And you forgot to make fun of german accents. How could you!

  • Well, we tried to do Swiss, which apparently is halfway between German and French, but it was amazingly poor so we cut it. Also Joe's French is pretty German I think.

  • O.K., I let Joe´s french accent pass as something remotely german. So you insulted two nations with one accent. Very efficent indeed.

  • Fantastic.

I think Tom has the US down-pat, but considering I've not been there, that's probably not worth much.

And for Joe, everyone in London is either Kiwi or Aussie, so it doesn't really matter.

On the whole though, that was rather enjoyable. It deeply saddens me that I am yet to meet both of you. One day, I will fix this.

  • Next time try a Minnesota accent. Watch the movie Fargo, and you'll hear it. A lot of people were offended by that movie, and said we don't talk like that here, but I know plenty of people who do.

  • I'm a big fan of that accent but am not planning on going there so could not work it in. :(

  • i think that with nz accents because i and e are reversable ud give urself away very easily but tom is so good joes aussie was awesome

  • Hər's ə NəZələd əccənt fər yə.

  • are you making fun of me tom?

  • The Australian accent was spot on. Kinda scary accent.

Seattle thing, just kinda talk like you don't know where you are. Stretch your uhhh's and speak kinda slow. It's the Grunge culture there that makes that the norm.

  • Toms accents were good, Joes however needs more work, lol. The london or south east England does vary some what, but you will get way with the NZ accent there because everyone from NZ and Oz is working in the pubs. Enjoy your stay

  • Scarily, when Tom was doing the Aussie accent at first, he sounded EXACTLY like an Australian friend of mine at work!

Londonian accents vary across the city, but none of them sound like NZ to me... And if Joe's going up as far north as Yorkshire, he HAS to visit Scotland, even if just briefly. With a surname like his to come that close and not actually make it all the way would be just plain WRONG! :P

And yeah, sorry but your Texan was more Louisiana... XD
