Canadians have an innate sense of humor because they have no identity.
You live next to a giant country that overwhelms the continent, so you're Americans, but not really Americans. You have a queen, so you're British but not really British. And that's fine until you get to the people who are French but not really French, then you get a bunch of assholes.
Plus, you actually were nice enough to name an entire province so Abbott and Costello could have fresh material in the afterlife. Nunavut.
