Canucks got a ton of breaks in this series and still couldn't beat the Rangers, who were without a doubt the best team in the NHL this year.

For me, the greatest game ever played was in Game 7 of that year in the opening round in Calgary. This one is a close second...mostly because it's the last really great game ever played in the NHL. It was fraught with the usual Bettmanesque refereeing, but great all the same. This was the first series I can recall where it seemed officiating almost deliberately or negligently changed the result of a big NHL game. Check out how the highsticking calls went down with Bure and Messier. Coincidence?

they won cuz of the reff vancouver was ruindd when that basted kjennen came to our team we lost bure and many more players if patquinn were stayed we would have wone the next year
