I never quite got the reviewer/critic hatred for the games.

I mean from a scoring standpoint, 70-80 is a fairly average and fair score. But they always seem to mock it for being "more or the same" and on the very next page, sometimes the very same (I've seen GI do this), claim a game is spectacular BECAUSE it's more of the same.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions of course, but it seems to be a uniform opinion amongst reviewers and critics.

well, you can have a game that leaves you wanting more (esp with several sequals), like pokemon; or you can have a game that you can't imagine getting better and the gameplay doesnt get old. thats why you can have the same gameplay with two diff series and have diffrent reviews.

It's a Sensitive Sess. Michael Leiffler (spelling? Drunk Link and Grabnar guy), plays a guy who lost one thumb in a fight over an N64 controller at E3 and the other mere moments later when a rabid Nintendo fan was running with the scissors he got a lock of of Miyamoto's hair with, then trips and cuts the guy's other thumb off. He's now coping by designing a handheld game with touch-screen capability, so the thumbs aren't needed. Then Adam tells him about the DS.
