Lily Allen actually do a cover in her mixtape and the version you heard was a re-recorded track for Mark Ronson.

Lily Allen just featured in this great song reproduced by Mark Ronson not that she tried to steal the song.

I love both version, there's no better one or worse, there's only the difference between the original one and the cover one. Both Lily and Kaiser Chiefs gave soul to this wonderful song. The greatest is Ricky Wilson!

I actually like both versions. I used to think that I preferred Mark Ronson's twists on this, "Stop Me...", "Just", and of course, "Valerie", but all of a sudden, I've relistened to the originals by Kaiser Chiefs, The Smiths, Radiohead, and The Zutons, and decided I prefer all the originals.
