I'm sorry for all the souls that fell there, all those poor men that went to a sure dead, germans and russians. I'm sorry for all the souls that fell there, all those poor men that went to a sure dead, germans and russians. Nobody deserved such a brutality, such a war, because it was only a matter of a dictator's state against another dictator's state. In the end, half of Europe fell anyway under the soviet dictatorship, so there nobody died for "freedom", they died for nothing.

Stalin was a dictator, you morron. He was one of the biggest murderers of all times, implanted a terror regime, killed millions in the gulags, imposed cruel communism... he is catalogued as a dictator by all books. read more, little communist sasha!

You're sooo right. All those people, normal people, were sent to death by two soulless dictators. Nobody deserved the death there. They were all heroes, germans and russians, fighting for their only personal survival.

@fairybellUSA did u ever listened to German war music. the "deutsche Kriegsmusik" is also very powerfull. and it also the fact that the german soldiers were undefeated. all what the russians did were pulling back and back and back. so it was prety " they are piece of cake" At Stalingrad the russians send their men into a masacre. compare it with a giant beast against thousends of ants. The winner will be the ants. They eating the enemy up bit by bit and so the mighty army lost ( also cause H)

Stalingrad was the beginning of the occupation of the Russian people by the hardcore communists. More than 40 years dictatorship followed. I do not think the Russian soldiers had this in mind. Respect to the German and Russian armies, every dead is one dead too much.

the city looked better in the 40s There it served its purpose to unite the country and fight back against fascism. The very existence of Russia and its people was at stake. Russia won the War because its life depended on it. Thanks for showing this video :)

By the way wasn't there also a man made famine in the lower Volga in 1932-33 about then same time as it happened in Ukraine and the North Caucas mountains. Yes the Stalinist famine that followed deportaion and collectivization of agriculture. Any memorials planned for the victims of Stalinism anytime soon?
