Yeah you're supposed to.. but im too impatient.. I only missed one on the strike and hooked just over 20 so thats not a bad ratio..

@MediocreLoops Oh man you really should have tried the Skagit and/or the Skeena. Vedder just doesn't compare with either of them. Any luck with the Coho or Chinook over there?

yeah got heaps of chum.. coho and a few Chinook.. best Chinook was 30 pounds.. the vedder was really crowded.. maybe ill visit the skeena another time.. i know it was blown out when i was over there so im glad i was on the Fraser and vedder..

there are salmon(Chinook - quinnat) a species of pacific salmon in a few rivers in new Zealand.. The best known salmon fishing rivers are the Rakaia, Rangitata and Waitaki rivers, however they don't grow as big as they do in north America, average size for a new Zealand salmon would be about 7kgs - 16lb, peak times for these rivers is from late December through till late February, there is more info on google.
