Football players say it all the time. They dont want to come to Cleveland because of the WEATHER!!! They like and respect the history of the Cleveland Browns, they like the love of the fans for the Browns they just dont want to play a game in low single digits to below zero temps. I don't blame Baltimore fans for accepting another city's team, I assure you as a Browns fan, we would have taken another city's team just to have a team back. Also, this game was blacked out because of the move. Browns games were never blacked out and Model did not move the team because of a lack of attendance. Cleveland Municipal Stadium seated 75,000. I'm glad a lesson was learned from this decision and I believe a lack of attendance or revenue should be the only reason for any future moves.

Baltimore was inexplicably passed over for some place like Jacksonville where there is little support for the Jags and now they could very well be moved. We won't come to an agreement on this but I would put Modell above Bud Adams and Irsay, Modell at least left the history of the Browns and their uniforms remain where they belong.

But neither would've been successful, because the city of Cincinnati would have blocked the Expos move to Indiana.

I don't blame Baltimore fans for accepting another city's team, I assure you as a Browns fan, we would have taken another city's team just to have a team back. Also, this game was blacked out because of the move. Browns games were never blacked out and Model did not move the team because of a lack of attendance. Cleveland Municipal Stadium seated 75,000. I'm glad a lesson was learned from this decision and I believe a lack of attendance or revenue should be the only reason for any future moves.

Im glad the Browns never left Cleveland. It sucked that the team had no players for three years, but Art got what he wanted, a team in Baltimore, and a superbowl win. and we got to keep are history and the team. It's sucks right now, but that's what happens when you half to start from scratch. I don't know if Art would have got a superbowl with the Browns, but i know it would of been more meaningful to at least stick it out. We lost the players and owner. But Baltimore colts fans got fucked.

Baltimore was inexplicably passed over for some place like Jacksonville where there is little support for the Jags and now they could very well be moved. We won't come to an agreement on this but I would put Modell above Bud Adams and Irsay, Modell at least left the history of the Browns and their uniforms remain where they belong.

And yes Cleveland can't win anything because their city won all the time in the 1930's 40's and 50's. Al Davis and Irsay had already set the precedents for teams keeping their name, etc. in the move. No court decision made Modell give the name to the next franchise in Cleveland.

1.Modell agreed to give the Browns name and colors back because of a document the city of Cleveland made through legal issues long before the team set foot in Baltimore and the fact that after he moved the Browns ground was immediately broke for a new stadium he could have cared less about what your city said. Once again you are a LIAR.
2.The Lenrer family owns the Browns because Art Modell recommended them knowing they would be the biggest joke in the NFL behind everyones back.

Baltimore if the city of Cleveland hadn't got it back in court with a legal document stating that the Browns name and colors will remain in Cleveland with a new expansion team if a new stadium is built something your city had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH!!!!! I know I did a college research project on team moves and researched allot about the Browns move.

Don't forget if the NFL comish in the early 1980's would have either given Indiana an expansion NFL franchise or allowed the Saints to re-locate to Indianapolis. Baltimore would still have there Colts as in the same team Johnny U played for and the super bowl 35 trophy would be in the city of Cleveland where it belongs.

Dude the Expos were going to move even if Washington DC had gotten an expansion in 1998, 1994 or when even Angelos blocked them from getting one. They were playing in the biggest failure in professional sports. If Washington DC had gotten their MLB expansion team the Expos would have in 03 first tried to re-locate to either Vegas or Indy. But neither would've been successful, because the city of Cincinnati would have blocked the Expos move to Indiana.

And lets just face the facts Vegas is a joke, an AFL team, farm league AAA team, and farm league NHL team is the closest they will ever come to getting either a REAL NHL, MLB, NFL (especially NFL), NBA, or quite possibly an MLS team. Because no one will ever let a real professional sports team move to Vegas since all the games would just be fixed for their city to make more money. So I had Washington had an MLB team when the Expos moved, my guess is that hey would've either re-located to.

A REAL RAVENS FAN who claims the Colts are stolen would pray every night that Modell dies of old age and Steven Biscotti (who I might add is a great owner) will buy out his 1% ownership of the Ravens.

Now you see why Clevelands liberal public educational system is the worst? Baltimore has less of a drop out rate than Cleveland has. Baltimorens dont bark like dogs at an NFL game big differance. Plus we can spell Hines Ward correctly.

One more thing.....sports go in cycles. Teams are often terrible for years, even decades, only to become great. We now have an amazing football mind running our team. If the Ravens make the playoffs next year, they'll undoubtedly get smoked-AGAIN-by Balti's old team. I forget their name and what their uniforms look like, but they're pretty damn good, a guy named Irsay owns them, and another guy named Manning owns all their passing records.
