  • I'm a musician and I just bought a couple of fur felt stove-pipe hats for War of 1812 and 19th century common-man impressions. They're a bit too large, so short of sending them back and incurring more shipping charges, how can I safely shrink them?

  • Would there be a why to make a fur felt hat a smaller size then what it is?

  • ayeeo i was wondering where i could get that at ? my tejana is 6 7/8 and it dont fit me :/

  • Are you looking for a hat stretcher? We sell them but keep in mind that, at least for a fur felt hat, in general a stretcher can only help if the hat is only a size or less too small.

  • Sorry to bother but I was wondering, with the proper hat jack, how much bigger in size can a 100% wool cap sized at 7 1/8 be stretched?

  • @LightningN1NjA I would guess a stretcher might take it up one size, to 7 1/4.

  • Do you have a video on the Adventurer Hat?

  • @bashfulbrother I don't believe we do. It is a good idea though to show how the open crown Adventurer takes so readily to an Indiana Jones bash, we'll try to get one out!

  • Thanks, DMCo! I recently purchased your Akubra Hat Jack for a western I bought. The method you describe in the video worked very well. Thanks for including that part about flattening the brim afterwards, too.

I enjoy all your videos and products. Thanks for taking the time to provide these instructional videos.
