To be fair though, those are in the minority. Birmingham City, Blackburn, Bolton, Derby, Fulham, Middlesbrough, Portsmouth, Wigan, etc all seat only 30,000 or less. Of course, most MLS stadia are about the same so I don't really have any point to that :) I know you aren't arguing but was just wanting to point out for others that may not be aware and assume those sizes are the norm.

BTW, there is no doubt EPL and La Liga are the top leagues in the world, but MLS is starting to gain some traction. Of course, they need to get rid of the low salary cap ($2.5M/team) to get more talent. Or get rid of it altogether and let there be a couple superteams that can really compete (most leagues have the top 2-3 teams and then everybody else...ManU/Chelsea/Arsenal in EPL, Barca/Real in Liga, Celtic/Rangers in SPL). I doubt it will ever happen though, because they love their parity!

ESPN belittles soccer because Fox Soccer Channel owns the rights to most coverage. ESPN should change their slogan from "The Worldwide Leader in Sports" to "The Worldwide Leader at promoting Sports whose rights are owned by ABC/Disney".
