Cette oeuvre est magnifique... En tant que choriste amateur, je l'ai chanté sans partitions du début à la fin... c'est franchement triste que les solistes (professionnelles j'imagine) ne soient pas capable de lever la tête pour chanter... et sérieux... je suis d'accord avec un des commentaires précédent... elles font peur !!!!!

pergolesi hat anscheinend viel von J.S BACH GELERNT....nice zum hoeren stabat mater mit pergolesi music....aber er nicht der einzige ist der stabat mater mater in music verwandelt hat........aber trotzdem sehr schoen.....

What a beautiful voice both have. It makes my mind and soul relax. This types of song is way to go to open youngster's mind. Violent and foul language songs only begets hate and abhorence toward society. Beautiful songs only unlocks the mind of peace and wonderful ideas.

I don't agree in your apreciation that some tempo are a bit slow.I believe they have reached perfection altogether in those rare performances that occurs so unfrequently. Sorry for my english I hope you got the idea

This is one of the best of this piece ever.....the only recorded performance which is even close (better?) is the one by Emma Kirkby/James Bowman Acad. Ancient Music....right here on YouTube...except they will not let me post the link...

Boring orchestra? I am a professional too and I think this is a very good performance. The conductor is able to give the two (wonderful) solists the "space" they deserve and his point of view about conducting clearly give a deep perfective of the deep subject of this work by Pergolesi. Some "tempo" are a bit slow but perfectly "in tune" with the general score. This conductor has clear ideas in mind and enables the listener to easlily follow those ideas. A well balanced and enjoyable performance.
